What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? Photoshop - The main software I used and have learnt more about throughout this process has been photoshop. I had basic photoshop knowledge before constructing my magazine which the task has helped me build upon greatly. I now understand designing in photoshop in general a lot more than I did, such as arranging text and images and also editing them. For example I now know how to remove the background from a photo as I did for my main image and could do so again if needed, whereas before I was unsure how to do that properly. Another thing which I was unsure of how to do was adding custom fonts from the internet to be used in work, which was a lot easier than I imagined. Camera - Using the camera when taking photos for my construction has helped me understand aspects that should be taken into consideration when taking photos for a magazine that I wouldn’t have considered before, such as various shot types and lighting. I am now more confident with exporting images to be edited also. Blog - Having never used a blog before of any kind, everything involving the blog was to an extent learning something new. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this

product?

For example, embedding videos/images or other software suck as Voki was something I had never done before but now understand.

Online Software i.e Moovly, PowToon, Voki, Slideshare, Screencast - Throughout all stages of the magazine project I have used software found online that I would never have considered before, or didn’t even know existed. Each were a great way to diversify my work so as to have something unique compared to the standard Word/Powerpoint way of presenting evaluation or planning, whether it be through an animated video such as Moovly or Powtoon, or software that allows the use of voice to present such as Voki or Screencast.
