Progression
Progression
• Throughout my progression from prelim task to the final product i have increased my skills within adobe Photoshop cs6, i have learnt how to use various tools and effects within adobe Photoshop; some examples:
Gradient effect added
Bevel in music mag to give it more depth, prelim task was 2D and quite boring
Progression
• Other than standard basic knowledge of photoshop (how to add text, how to add shapes, how to add a photo) i was unaware of how to do certain things, for example, in the prelim task, my model was standard colour with no effects, text was straight and there was not many features, whereas in the final product i was able to add effects to images, black and white again to give a dark, depressive feel to the image, different fonts with effects, for the text to look distorted and professional, and banners and features about different things (top banner, poster section) to add a more professional style to the product and actually make it ‘shop ready’ so it could be sold right away.
Use of banner
Effect of bevel and new font for
rock/destroyed feel
Different font and gradient colour effect - professional
Feature title and sub heading, gives reader something to judge and gives indication of what's inside
Use of shapes and lower banner for posters, gives a more professional effect over the facebook/twitter parts just floating at the bottom
Stages i went through with the prelim task
Text layout - where text was placedText choices – what text should be used and was it appropriateImage choice – would the image suit the magazineImage layout – did the image fit right on the page
