The research

• For my preliminary task I hadn’t done any research on the magazine topic, whereas on my music magazine I had, so I learnt the codes and conventions so this meant I could fully understand what needed to go into my magazine for an example appearance, colour scheme and fonts.

• As I hadn’t done any research on my preliminary task it is more empty and has less information and key features such as a tag line.

• However, I have now learnt what is needed to go on a magazine and was able to develop my skills and own knowledge

• Due to this my final piece looks more professional than my preliminary task.

Photoshop skills

• When I made my preliminary task piece I did not know many Photoshop skills and techniques so this is why my final piece looks more sophisticated than my preliminary task.

• I didn’t know many skills on Photoshop but now that I do I can use them in the future, and even develop my magazine.
