Our four-day Sesquicentenntial Celebration culminates with our 11:00 AM Solemn Mass.

Join us as we honor a parish community 150 years in the making.

A reception will follow in Wallace Hall.

From its beginnings in Rome in 1540, the Society of Jesus has focused much of its ministry in the hearts of great

cities. A man ahead of his time, St. Ignatius understood and applied what modern sociologists call the “multiplier effect;” he chose to focus Jesuit educational, pastoral, and

social works where the greatest number of people of all classes and walks of life could be reached.

In a fast-paced and visually engaging presentation, Fr. Tom Lucas, S.J., University Professor and Rector of

the Jesuit Community at Seattle University will pave the long and circuitous route from Rome to Park Avenue, with intermediate stopovers in Macau, Beijing, Cuzco,

St. Mary’s City, Maryland, and Philadelphia.
