FYI was rolled out in India in Jan 2013

On an average, 250 people attend the event at EGL and 100 at BTP

Participation has gone up to 400 – 500 during Exec visits, Monsoon special FYI, New logo launch FYI, etc.

India became the 1st location to align to the collaborative viewing

Punched in local flavour with local demos, Q&A, monsoon special FYI, etc.

Internal Hackday

Held quarterly with specific themes and different categories

50 – 80 teams (i.e. approx. 150 – 200 people) participated in each of these events

Conducted 7 Have a Seat events in 2013 including ones with Tim Parsey, former SVP Design, Scott Burke, SVP Advertising and Data Platforms and Mike Kerns, SVP Homepage and Verticals

5 Demos & Drinks events including 1 at our office in Mumbai

The Bangalore D&D is very well attended, seeing 600-800 footfalls every qtr

Q3 D&D in Bangalore beat SNV in terms of participation

Dogfooding has become an important element with the latest innovation being the online ‘idea boards’

HackU – University Hack Event

Conducted 5 HackU events last year at IIT universities in Kharagpur, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi & Kanpur

Better prizes and great food were the key factors that lead to increased participation

The 6th edition of Yahoo Hack in India was held in Hyderabad

The WIT Gig

Over 200 women technologists from companies like IBM, SAP Labs, Oracle, Intel, Accenture and Dell attended 'the WIT gig – A Yahoo Women-in-tech Initiative’

The panel comprised top women leaders from across tech companies, PR, networking startups, academia
