• You have questions. We have answers. We’re contacted daily by operators, engineers, municipalities with their water treatment questions.
• Recognized source of knowledge. AdEdge has participated in hundreds of presentations and dozens of articles in professional magazines since 2002.
• Award winning. Founder Rich Cavagnaro, AdEdge’s President, won the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year in 2013.

• Branded. AdEdge has 10 different brands:APU - AdEdge Package UnitsMOD - Modular Treatment SolutionsWaterPOD - Containerized Treatment SystemsbiotttaTM - Biotreatment systems for multi-contaminant removalAdBarTM - Biotreatment systems for ammonia removalADIN - Chemical Feed SystemsH2Zero - Backwash Recycle SystemsINGenius - Control PanelsINVue - Remote MonitoringAdVantEdge - Residential Arsenic Removal Products
• Government Trusted. AdEdge is the only US company awarded 12 pilot projects with the USEPA and to license a treatment process with them.
• Technology Pioneers. AdEdge was the first to demonstrate co-contaminant removal (As, Fe, Mn, H2S) with our AD26, manganese dioxide based media, in 3 of our awarded USEPA projects.
• Expanding our portfolio. A shift from being solely an arsenic removal company took place in 2008 and the diversification is bearing fruits today.
• Diversified treatment approach. More than 20 different contaminants are treated by AdEdge today by more than 60 treatment approaches (please refer to treatment matrix on pp 12 - 13).
• Reliable design. More than 99% of our installed systems are still in operation today.
• Multi-contaminant removal. Our knowledge, experience, & expertise make it easier for us to design integrated treatment solution for challenging water qualities. During the last few years, we’ve designed >100 co-contaminant removal systems.
• Not one solution fits all. We craft fully customized treatment solutions depending on the needs and resources of each site.
• One stop shop. We do it all: Process design, manufacturing, function testing, and QA. The result? A reliable ETD and prevention of start-up delays.
• Warranty. Our standard warranty is one year for equipment and workmanship.
• Need service? Our options include media replacement, spare parts, and technical support, both on the phone and in person, if needed.
• Global Activity. AdEdge has done business in 35 US States and 15 countries and more than 40% of our revenue came from international sales in 2014.
• Closers. In 2014, our closing rate on awarded projects was 61%.
• We do it right. 70% of new business comes from referrals.
• Simple or high-end systems. We design low cost and simple modular plants(MOD > 200 installations) as well as prepackaged high-end units (APU > 300 installations) fully automated, containerized systems (plug & play, remote monitoring). APU skid-mounted units reduce start-up costs by 25 - 30%.
• AdEdge standard budgetary proposals always include, at no charge, the following:- Detailed design- CAPEX (capital costs)- OPEX (operating costs)- This is highly appreciated by customers as it helps them make an educated decision about their water treatment project. Design is based on our site profile form.
• Need a pilot? We have a piloting program. A typical pilot system will determine:- Contaminant removal efficiencies to achieve treatment goals- Backwash volumes frequency and characteristics

• WaterPOD Plug & Play. 15% - 30% savings vs a traditional building, saves up to 50% in installation costs, and provides an easier and safer media replacement.
• WaterPODs in the International Market. We installed more WaterPOD units for inorganics removal internationally than any other company.
• Third Party Verified. E33 adsorptive media is the BAT for arsenic removal as verified by multiple third party tests.
• NSF Certified. All AdEdge media is NSF certified.
• Radionuclide removal. AdEdge developed a unique, low cost, no electricity, one time use modular systems up to 100 gpm for radionuclide removal.
• RO/Membranes. AdEdge designs and manufactures systems using RO, UF, and NF. We also handle GUIDI (groundwater under the direct influence of surface water).
• Need to adjust pH? Chlorination? We have ADIN chemical feed solutions that can be integrated with any of our systems.
• Emerging trends in the market to pay attention to: Radionuclides (10 sold, 25 in the pipeline), Fluoride (3 sold, 9 in the pipeline).

Table 3: Main Types of Treatment Systems
• AdEdge APU Components. APU systems can be equipped, with some limitations, with any type of piping, vessels, valves, PLC automation control, HMI, remote monitoring, and instrumentation that is offered by AdEdge.
• AdEdge Modular Components. MOD systems do not include piping, do not come with a PLC or PLC control panel, and do not include some instrumentation.
• AdEdge Integration. AdEdge has the capability to integrate auxiliary equipment required for the treatment pant. For example, pumps, tanks, alarms, chemical feed, and remote monitoring.

Advantages:• QC testing prior to shipping• Low cost quick field installation and startup• Integration with existing systems
Available Configurations:• Parallel• Series• Lead-Lag (LL) (for adsorption or one time use
media)MODModular systems, packaged for field installation
Advantages:• A solution for logistical challenges - site access or
space limitation
WaterPOD Containerized treatment units
Advantages:• Provides the most convenient installation, startup,
and maintenance• Provides the best ROI for sites without an existing
building• 20’ - holds up to (3) 48” vessels• 40’ - holds up to (6) 48” vessels• 52’ - holds up to (8) 48” vessels

Table 5: Process Service Flow RatesProcess Service Flow RateC/F No more than 6 gpm/ft2AD26 Max 12 gpm/ft2E33 We determine EBCT (~ 6 gpm/ft2 max)IX resins Specific to each resin type.
Anion resin service flow rate is typically 2 gpm/ft2.Cation resin service flow rate is typically 14 gpm/ft2
• Service flow rate (gpm/ft2) is media dependent; however, we’ve been repeatedly and successfully demonstrating higher than industry standard flow rates thanks to optimal design which saves money and creates a smaller footprint.

Backwash (BW) volumes info:• BW water or IX is estimated at 1% - 4%• RO reject volume is estimated at 15% - 25%• RO Maximum Recovery - reject volume is 8%• As removal by adsorption compared to O/F or C/F generates lower BW water
volumes• BW is 0.2% WW with adsorption depends on utilization - every 90 days• O/F & C/F BW volumes depend on influent Fe/Mn levels. For example, 2% for
1.5 mg/L Fe, 0.05 mg/L Mn, but 8% for 3 mg/L
• BW Water Disposal - What are the options? Options vary depending on each local regulatory body and WWTP and whether a permit is required. Concentration of contaminants in the water will affect permitting.
• H2Zero is an alternative to BW water management. 99.7% water recovery rate. Great when direct discharge is not available or hauling BW water is too costly.
• Water Recycling Option for Regeneration. A process developed by AdEdge for synthetic resin IX applications when minimizing waste volume is essential. Mainly used for nitrate applications because regeneration is more frequent compared to other IX processes. Minimizes brine volume to ~40% of the waste water with estimated added cost of ~$20K - $25K.
