SOAKING

Soaking Prayer

I ran across this while preparing this message. This has been around at least since 2008.

They say you just lay down or sit down and forget all your agendas and prayer request –

forget them. It is quiet time focusing on Jesus and inviting the Holy Spirit to soak you in His

presence. You quiet your mind and be awakened in your spirit. Don’t pray or worship, you

just receive. They even sell “soaking kits.” Now, this is soaking prayer, however you don’t

pray. Hmmm How do we communicate with the Father? Because we do not pray to the

Holy Spirit. When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, this is what He told them. Luke

11:2 – And He said unto them, When ye pray, SAY (not lay down and meditate in your mind

– He said to speak out the Words), Our Father which art in heaven,… The Lord tells us in His

Word to meditate on His Word. Psalm 1:2-3 – But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and

in His law (Word of God) doth he meditate day and night. (The reward for doing so) And he

shall be like a tree planted (on purpose – taken care of on purpose) by the rivers of

water(life giving – Holy Spirit), that bringeth forth his fruit (you have something to offer that

is nourishing) in his season, his leaf also shall not wither (strong and healthy life), and

whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (anything you do will be successful).

CENTERING PRAYER

You take a Christian word and you say it over and over and go into altered states of

consciousness. That’s like having a “mantra” where the belief or goal is to open you up so

you can commune with the divine. This is eastern meditation. Isaiah 2:5-6 O house of

Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD. Therefore thou has forsaken thy

people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers

like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

CANDLES

Candles are used in voodoo, witchcraft and satanism and then if you combine that with

meditation you have a whole mix of things that are an abomination to God. Candles are

used by witches, and satanists to cast spells and for affirmations. I saw a video of a “witch”

making a candle to use in her spells and she was laughing at Catholics because they use

prayer candles. She was laughing because this is paganism and they know it. This witch

said she was using spells and meditations to cause the universal energies to give her what

she needs.

Candle magic: I watch another “witch” online making her candle. She cleansed it,

dedicated it, put her name and her intention on it. After this, they watch the candle burn

and read or interpret the flame. How high is the flame, how bright, is it burning clean or is it

black as all of these things indicate what the “spirits” are telling you about what you are

seeking for. If results are not going well, switch candles and switch spells. The higher the

flicker and the brighter the flame, the more the universal energy is working for you. This girl

had a voodoo doll and idols in the room and she really felt the spirits were reacting as every

time she approached the candle the flame went higher and as she stood there it kept

surging. She had an idol on the table with the burning candles and she poured oil on the

idol while burning oils. 1 John 5:21 Little children keep yourselves from idols. Amen. If

your candle goes out, won’t light then someone is working against you. If the candle snaps,

crackles & pops then the deities, angels and oriches are taking your messages back-n-forth.

They were putting herbs and oils in their candles.

The Sight of burning votive candles -real or electronic - is common in most Catholic

churches. The candles are usually placed before statues of saints or at shrines. But how did

this tradition get its start?

According to A Handbook of Catholic Sacramentals, by Ann Ball (Our Sunday Visitor Books),

the practice of lighting candles in order to obtain some favor probably has its origins in the

custom of burning lights at the tombs of the martyrs in the catacombs.

The lights burned as a sign of solidarity with Christians still on earth. Because the lights

continually burned as a silent vigil, they became known as vigil lights.

Vigil Lights (from the Latin vigilia, which means "waiting" or "watching") are traditionally

accompanied by prayers of attention or waiting. Another common type of candle offering is

the votive light. Such an offering is indicative of seeking some favor from the Lord or the

saint before which the votive is placed.

Lighting a candle is a way of extending one's prayer and showing solidarity with the person

on whose behalf the prayer is offered.

After the 9/11 tragedy, lit candles figured prominently in a televised concert affirming the

power of goodness over the darkness of evil. The symbolism was similar to the Catholic

custom of lighting candles as a form of prayer.

In the lighting of candles we remember and truly live the words of Our Lord: "I am the Light

of the World." In the lighting of candles we not only pray, but our prayers become smaller

symbols of the One Light of Christ. In burning candles, our prayers rise up to Heaven day

and night; prayers for the saint's intercession

are also common because of their friendship with God in Heaven. Saints are powerful

intercessors. The lighting of candles has been observed since the time of the early martyrs.

PRAYER LABRYNTHS

Many churches now have prayer labyrinths inside and outside too and they have teachers

that teach this stuff.

Here is the definition from Wikipedia: In Greek mythology, the Labyrinth (Greek

λαβύρινθος labyrinthos,[1]) was an elaborate structure designed and built by the legendary

artificer Daedalus for King Minos of Crete at Knossos. Its function was to hold the Minotaur

eventually killed by the hero Theseus. Daedalus had so cunningly made the Labyrinth that

he could barely escape it after he built it.[2]

They are tools for psychological, personal and spiritual transformation. They are ancient

prayer paths that help you to connect deeper with God and find a way to reconnect with

the Creator.

What a load of lies that is. They are used in islam, Judaism and Christianity for emotional

and spiritual healing. They are used in hospitals, prisons and mental health facilities. One

instructor talked about how you will be using the right side of your brain and give the left

side a break. That it takes you to a deeper level of consciousness and allows us to release

some things. “Just allow yourself to be led.” Supposed to also be a symbol of the path to

Jerusalem which is also the path of life. The labyrinths leads to the center (which is like to

God) while a maze has dead ends. By using your left and right sides of your brain in walking

the 4 quadrants of the labyrinth, it helps to “center” you. Walking the labyrinth,

interpreting what “it” is saying to you as you walk it. Walking the labyrinth opens you up to

whatever experience God wants you to have. It is a “walking meditation.” All the paths

lead to the center and to enlightenment.

Prehistoric labyrinths are believed to have served as traps for malevolent spirits or as defined paths for ritual dances. In medieval times, the labyrinth symbolized a hard path to God with a clearly defined center (God) and one entrance (birth). In their cross-cultural

study of signs and symbols, Patterns that Connect, Carl Schuster and Edmund Carpenter present various forms of the labyrinth and suggest various possible meanings, including not only a sacred path to the home of a sacred ancestor, but also, perhaps, a representation of the ancestor him/herself: "...many [New World] Indians who make the labyrinth regard it as a sacred symbol, a beneficial ancestor, a deity. In this they may be preserving its original meaning: the ultimate ancestor, here evoked by two continuous lines joining its twelve primary joints."

CHANTING

Chanting is nothing more than Hinduism and voodoo and witchcraft and satanism.

Chanting can be a powerful tool in our yoga practice from a Christian perspective. Many of

the benefits of chanting prepare body, breath, mind and heart for entering into centering

prayer. Our breath rate and blood pressure lower, the body and mind receives a wash of

healing voice overtones, negative emotions are released and the mind is focused and alert.

The heart has received Truth and our inner being is seeking unity with God. The outer

consciousness is ready to resonate to the Divine Presence within and we move into interior

silence.

The eventual payoff? Chanting Satan-Lucifer's name will give you a kind of freedom no-one can prepare you for. You'll be identifying yourself with the ULTIMATE personage of freedom itself. Not only that, but you'll experience His presence in a real way. He will give you an inner strength which will help you to conquer any and all problems in your life. On top of all this, you will have a relationship with Him. You will know Him as Father, Brother, and dearest Friend...indeed, He will become a part of you. His name will become like a shield to protect you from the dogma of fools...

They know that their incantations, invocations & evocations are powerful. What you SAY has power. When a magis (magical one) speaks – it is powerful.

Heb.4:12 – For the Word of God is quick (alive), and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Matt.6:7 – But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

When you practice these things the devil sees that you are not walking intimately with Jesus

and he knows you are opening yourself up to him to deceive you more and more so that he

can become your god. Yes, he can make you “feel” good and give you the experience you

are seeking so that he can capture you in his cage.

So many are seeking to smell God, touch God, taste God, they want to feel love flowing over

them and be in ecstasy. They are seeking a feeling and emotions more than seeking the

Creator. They want to take a short cut or even pay for an experience. They want someone

else to impart an anointing or spiritual energy to them. They don’t want to get on their

knees and forge a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They don’t want to take time to

read His Word. They don’t want to help others or give anything away. They are darting in

the “church” doors so that they can experience this “euphoric high” that they are

attributing to the Holy Spirit. Indeed much of what is going on in churches today is a

deception. Packaged to mirror so closely some of the things the Holy Spirit does. If you

don’t get rooted and grounded in Jesus’ Word, you will not know the REAL from the fake.

Just like with the wheat and the tares, by the time you can tell the difference, many times it

is too late. The devil does not want you to have discernment from God. He does not want

you to have eyes to see and ears to hear. He does not want you to seek after understanding

and discernment from the Lord. He wants you to be lazy and ride on someone else’s

knowledge and experiences and want that quick fix impartation of “power.”

Many pastors and leaders cannot wait on the Lord to grow their ministry so they are doing

works of the flesh trying to “re-create” Christianity so they can reach this modern

generation and draw the crowds into their church. They are ok with saying you can have

your own truth.

DEAD MEN’S BONES

I saw a guy on video who was out at Smith Wigglesworth’s grave site.

Smith Wigglesworth

Smith Wigglesworth was a British evangelist and faith healer. This guy was talking about the

scripture in 2 Kings 13:21 that reads: And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that,

behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulcher (tomb) of

Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and

stood up on his feet. So this guy was out there thinking he could get some anointing by

being in the area where he was buried. He was also speaking to the camera and trying to

motion and wave to the camera speaking that the anointing was coming on those who were

watching. This is nonsense.

Gold dust, angel feathers, gems, rainbows, glory cloud etc. Why would God manifest these

things without any obvious message to His children? Or to anyone? Yes, He is rich beyond

compare, but He always has a method, a plan and a purpose for the things He does. He

does not need to brag or impress like man does here on earth. One pastor even said he had

a “money angel.” That the angel has a name and that he sends the angel out with a mission

to bring him money and she does. This same pastor has his church believing that this same

angel came into some of their meetings and threw gold dust. At one meeting in particular

this happened and immediately the pastor’s wife supposedly received an anointing and

started running around and clucking like a chicken and barking like a dog. THIS IS NOT OF

GOD, NOR OF JESUS, NOR OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!! Oh Church, please wake up and repent.

We must seek Him while He may be found. (Isaiah 55:6)

The girl from this video was involved in and interested in these things: The Secret, Power of

Positive Thinking, teachings by Eckhart Tolle etc. She had just come back from a convention

on this type of stuff when one night she heard a man’s voice clear as day in her head say:

“Illuminati.” This is real y’all. When you are seeking things that are not of God, the devil

sends his troops right in. This scared her and she repented of all of this junk and turned

back to Jesus.

PROPHECY

Many people are so amazed when a “prophet” stands up and can tell them their name and

address and phone number and things like this. Your Holy Spirit should bear witness with

you if the person is truly of the Lord or not. Watch the pastor and the leaders of the church

and be sure all the strange things that I’ve been speaking on for three weeks now are not

going on. If they are, chances are that this “prophet” is working with familiar spirits.

Lev.19:31 – Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be

defiled by them: I Am the LORD your God. Write down what is prophesied and keep track of

it to see if it comes to pass. If it doesn’t they are not a true prophet of God. But just

because someone can tell you something secret about yourself does not always mean they

are a man or woman of God. This type of manipulation is used to impress and helps to get

people to give to the ministry.

Closing:

Someone gave an example like this: There are many phone numbers in this world, but to

reach me, you have to have MY number, all other numbers go somewhere else. That is the

way it is with Jesus. You have to call out to Him and Him alone to reach Him. He is a jealous

God in that He will not share you with another. Deut.4:24 – For the LORD thy God is a

consuming fire, even a jealous God.

You shall know the Truth and the truth shall set you free.

You never want to hear Jesus say this to you:

Matt.7:21-23 - Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom

of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. Many will say to Me

in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out

devils? And in Thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I

never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.
