Client will need to provide two valid pieces of ID and will have to display them on camera if advisor is not in client’s presence. You must be able to read the information on the ID. Copies of these documents must not be sent by text or email.

For each piece of identification, a list of values will offer the types of valid ID.

The first piece needs to be a photo ID and should be used to validate client’s name and date of birth. The following information must be entered:

- Document number - Country of issue- Expiration date - Province of issue

The second piece should be used to validate the client’s name and address. Only the name and document number are required. In EVO, under "Document name", you must enter both the name of the document AND the issuing organisation (e.g. Statement of account for March 2020 - Hydro Quebec). For the "Document number", the account number should be used, except for when the document is issued from a financial institution, in which case the invoice or statement number may be entered as a valid value.

*Note :• Provincial health insurance cards may NOT be used if prohibited by provincial law (e.g.

Ontario, Manitoba, Prince-Edward-Island)• Only insurance documents provided by companies other than iA are admissible as a

piece of identification.
