Effective networking has become very challenging. Our society has become very technology driven and potential clients and customers want you to be just a click away. So

the prudent venture for the small business owner is to become familiar with social networking. When used correctly social networking can provide vast marketing possibilities for small businesses. If you aren’t convinced, then just take a look at the number of social networking web sites and tools that exist. Today, consumers are extremely bored with old advertisements. They know a conventional ad when they see one. But there has also been a great influx of new small businesses due to the current economic situation, and with them, the potential for companies to offer up standard, overdone ads. The possibility is out there for you to prove them wrong. Building a strong rapport is another vital thing in promoting. Customers are more likely to choose a business they trust and with which they feel comfortable. You must engage your

potential clients – add a personal touch to your marketing plan. The day of the impersonal approach is long gone and simply not effective. People are searching for brands that speak to their needs and they are able to speak back when questions come up. Social networking permits you to get “up close and personal” with your potential clients. You will be able interact with them on a totally new different level. Keep your selling messages to a limit and aim on becoming a brand that’s enviable. The more people like and admire your brand in how you relate to customers, the better chances of sustaining your business. Social networking will allow you to have that up close and personal experience with your potential clients. This business intimacy will come from personal interactions and continuous engagement with customers

The Scoop on Marketing

Sylvia Browder www.sylviabrowder.com

Evolution Magazine/ June 20136

In business, marketing is the key to survival. Marketing takes a lot of planning, organizational skills, budget measures and timing. Proper planning and accountability measures will

enable you to position your business for success. To ensure maximum ROI (Return on Investment) of your marketing plan, these are 6 tips for a successful business:

1. Update Your Marketing PlanIf you are planning to expand your business or wish to give it a directional turn, then it is important to update your existing marketing plan. With a well thought out marketing plan, it becomes easier for a business owner to systematically promote the company.

In addition, it is imperative that marketing collateral such as business cards, logo, signage, and promotional material align with your overall message. Updates to your plan should be based on careful assessment of the market, understanding the needs of the consumer, and consideration of the objectives and outcomes of your plan. 2. Create a Marketing BudgetMarketing is crucial for business success. For every marketing plan to reach its full potential, it is vital that a budget is in place. Allocating too little capital can be a detriment to your future goals. For example, a new business that factors into their budget start-up costs for business cards, logo, flyers, a website, and custom shirts has already done itself a huge favor. In addition, a business owner should follow a goal-based budgeting plan, one that includes customer service initiatives, communication, and all prospecting activities. 3. Implement a Marketing CampaignA marketing campaign includes several activities carried out to accomplish a pre-planned goal: generally the promotion of a product or service. To see how well a marketing campaign works, consider planning it as a 30-day or 90-day trial to avoid unforeseen losses. Running it for a short period of time allows to you monitor the plan’s feasibility with your target market, set clear campaign objectives, and plan the outcomes accordingly. Successful campaigns are carefully researched and center on details and implementation, rather than one big idea.

3 Memorable Marketing Campaigns:1. “Just Do It” – Nike2. “Where’s the Beef?” – Wendy’s3. “Absolutely, Positively Overnight” – FedEx

4. Find Free Marketing OpportunitiesWhen you want to reduce your marketing budget, it is essential to take advantage of free marketing opportunities. With so much impetus being laid on web-based marketing services, you can find a multitude of free PR on the internet. There are numerous press release and article submission services, Google and Yahoo local listings, online directories, and similar services to create company profiles and promotional opportunities.

5 FREE Offline & Online Ideas

1. Social media networks – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Foursquare, Google+

2. Guest blogging3. Customer referral program4. Public speaking5. Business networking groups – on and offline

5. Ask for ReferralsReferrals are an extremely powerful selling tool! Being introduced to a potential client through a personal recommendation is a golden opportunity! Asking your clients, associates, partners or consumers for referrals is a cost-effective way of expanding your network. People do business with those they know, like, and trust. So, the best compliment you can earn is from those who like your product or services. There are also fee-based referral programs that provide extensive leads to specific consumer markets. 6. Always Follow Up!Last but not least, always follow up! A follow up process is extremely important in securing business from new clients and in maintaining rapport with existing ones.• Sendathankyounote• Makeaphonecall• Emailagreetingcard• Mailaspecialgift In business, there are no guarantees for success; however, incorporating these six tips will significantly improve your chances of having a profitable and well-respected company.

It isn't every day that a disruptive technology comes along capable of changing the way that small businesses everywhere operate. So when a company named PixelGigs from Portland, Oregon introduced IMPACT Office into the global marketplace, the world took notice.

IMPACT is really the first affordable all-in-one suite of essential business programs of its kind. It combines the top tools people use and pay for in business today into one tool and saves the average subscriber hundreds of dollars every month. One database and one single interface drive everything. "What's the big deal?" you ask. Well, until now subscribers have been forced to pay providers separately for the services they need. And those services came at a premium.

The separate provider approach creates stress, it's inefficient and cost ineffective. Imagine going to an expensive restaurant and paying for everything ala carte. It just doesn't make sense. "When we were unable to locate the product we wanted and needed, we set out to create it," said PixelGigs President Ashton Root. Create it they did!

The business was founded in 2009 in Portland, Oregon by the Root family. "We wanted to create a company of character and integrity," said Taylor Root,

the company's Vice President. "The IMPACT software as a service model solves a global problem and helps businesses everywhere do more with less. It is gratifying to know there was a huge demand for this product and we created the answer from the ground up."

"I wish we had this product years ago in our former company", said family patriarch and CEO Jack Root, referring to the previous successful seminar marketing company that the family took global with thousands of successful customers and

partners. "We are used to providing solutions for people in business. This just takes things to a whole new level."

Evolution Magazine/ June 20138

Since IMPACT Office is a cloud-based, software as a service product, there is never anything to upgrade, update or install for end users. Subscribers simply log in safely and securely from any I\internet-enabled device, anywhere in the world. For IMPACT subscribers it means that the most powerful tools in business are available right at your fingertips, from anywhere at any time, at and affordable price. IIMPACT combines a robust yet customizable contact relationship management tool, video conferencing, email marketing, website building, large file sharing, web form builder, cloud storage, automation and more into one easy-to-use program. The service is attractive to current customers of companies like Salesforce, Zoho, Infusionsoft, GotoMeeting, WebEx, Constant Contact, iContact, AWeber, You Send It, WIX and others.

"We invite business owners everywhere to take a free, 15-day test drive of the IMPACT Office product," said Director Doug Skordal. "No credit card is required and with IMPACT there are never any contracts or hidden fees. Simply enjoy the benefits and go month to month."

IMPACT Office is now available everywhere via the PixelGigs brand through the company's referral marketing network. Account Executives and Affiliates share the IMPACT Office product worldwide and are rewarded with commissions, bonuses, incentives and leadership opportunities. The company also recently added expanded web services like SEO Analysis, PPC Management and more, as well as personal and professional development events."Our goal is to become the one-stop shop for small businesses, offering everything they need to be successful," said Ashton. "Software, services, solutions and more." With cloud computing services already the number one growth industry and those figures expected to double in just the next few years, we have our eye on PixelGigs to become a global contender. Watch for them to do some amazing things!

You INC. The New Face of Business

Derrick Jones www.presidentspilotsentrepreneurs.com

A friend of mine recently turned down a $150,000 a year job to start his own consulting company. How does someone in this economy get offered such an opportunity and have the confidence to turn it down? This friend of mine is a new class of worker, who’s loyalty and commitment is to his personal development. I refer to this type of worker as “You Inc.” In the

world of YOU Inc., employers are the customers and they benefit from these workers’ commitment to excellence.

Evolution Magazine/ June 201314

In today's environment of downsizing and hyper competition between companies, your number one employer should be YOU Inc. This does not mean starting a business, but viewing yourself as an enterprise serving up a high value product - YOU.

Instead of being in fear of losing a job, YOU Inc. turns the tables by becoming so indispensable, employers fear losing them. YOU Inc. treats the employer as a customer who pays invoices after the delivery of a quality product or service. Those who deliver the best products receive higher revenues.

If you operated a business, would you arrive every day unmotivated and deliver lackluster performance? Of course not. Well, the fact is, you do operate a business. YOU Inc. is the business and you are the product.

YOU Inc. Inventory You, along with all of your positive attributes and talents are the inventory. This includes the energy and attitude you bring to your work.

Like any other enterprise, you must update, upgrade and replenish your inventory through training, workshops, education and certifications. Look for new skills to enhance your product. Spend time each week brainstorming how to make your employer's life easier, just as a business does for its customers. A new idea that saves money or increases output is the breakthrough innovation your employer is ready to purchase.

YOU Inc. Stock Holders Your stock holders are all of those who rely on you for support whether family members, friends or your community. Part of your job is to keep them informed and satisfied with your performance.

For immediate family members, this means “bringing home the bacon”, which includes getting the best pay for the right work. This can also include coming up with sources of income beyond your job, such as investments or a side business.

For friends and community, this means using your skills to improve their lives as well. If you volunteer, use what you learn on the job to provide meaningful help to your community members. If you are a lawyer, donate law Services. If You are an IT professional, help install computers or write software. Corporations now compete with each other to illustrate they are compassionate members of society. YOU Inc. must do the same.

YOU Inc. Competition YOU Inc. has very little competition because YOU Inc. innovates and creates, while others simply watch the clock. As an IT consultant for many years, I witnessed this play out, project after project. Last Year, I found one of my customer’s employees to be a quintessential example of YOU Inc. in action. He provided tech

support within the company and treated every computer user as his customer.

He arrived to work before everyone else and he was often the last guy to leave (along with me, the consultant, who gets paid to stay late). He received special recognition from the head of the company in a department of more than 200 people. However, this was nothing special to him as he saw himself as doing his job. He went right back to work serving his customers.

YOU Inc. and the Economy YOU Inc. does not suffer during economic downturns because they are either the last people to be let go or have recruiters banging down their door. In the event they lose their job, other employers are ready to snatch them up. Or in the case of my friend, decide to start their own business with the full confidence they can always find another job if needed.

Entrepreneurship is not an occupation or a lifestyle, but a mindset. Entrepreneurs view the world through a lens of problems and solutions. Their desire is to change the world and create value in the marketplace. The employee who exhibits such a mindset is the golden child for his or her employer and the envy of co-workers.

Sarah (named changed) runs a mental health agency and for her to move it to the next level, she

needs to acquire a clinical license. This important strategic priority will enable her to expand the business and serve more people in need. This complex task involves moving forward in several areas simultaneously.Sarah has to:• Resolve some property issues• Update policies and procedures• Jump though government red tape• Add staffing• Change business practices Large companies deal with complicated projects like Sarah’s by creating a Gantt chart, a type of project scheduler that tracks all of the necessary tasks and places them on a time line that clearly indicates when steps are scheduled to begin and end. Now, let’s return to the world of small business where there is never one person who can devote a majority of time to managing a strategic project,

no matter its importance or size. If I had introduced the idea of a Gantt chart to Sarah, she would have looked at me as if I had lost my mind. As it is, she instantly told me she didn’t have time to implement a simplified alternative when I first brought it up. Here is an easier alternative to tracking large projects: Step 1: Acquire three pieces of poster or foam board or a white board and label them as such: To Do, Working On, and Done. Step 2: As you are brainstorming or thinking about the project, write each task on a separate sticky note. Be as specific as possible. It’s much better to have hundreds of notes that are accomplished more quickly than five notes that are vague and take months to accomplish. For example, Sarah has about a dozen policies that need to be reviewed and updated. Each policy should be on its own sticky note.

Step 3: As you write the notes, place them on the appropriate sheet. The To Do sheet is for tasks that you are not ready to work on yet. Think of this sheet as a parking lot for your ideas and steps so you don’t forget them. The Working On sheet is for tasks that you are currently working on. At any point in time this sheet should have only a handful of sticky notes on it. This sheet is a useful way of organizing and tracking all the task you are juggling. The Done sheet is the most fun. As you complete tasks on the Working On sheet, the sticky notes are moved directly to the Done sheet. Now before you become overwhelmed like Sarah, you need to know that it is not necessary to figure out all the steps before you start. It’s perfectly acceptable to add them as you go along. And if you discover that something you thought had to be completed is incorrect, simply remove the sticky note and toss it in the trash. Here is the wonderful thing about this system. Not only does it keep you organized with a minimal amount of time and effort, it also keeps you motivated. Are you in the middle of a large project like writing a book, creating a website, or launching a new product or service? Then give simplified planning a try. Not only will it assist you to stay on track, you will experience the joy of emptying the To Do sheet as the Done sheet fills.

Any company is capable of collecting data, but what do they do with it? Any company with a customer database or the means to create one can perform data collection. It is important to consider, however, what happens to data once it is stored and how a company can use it to create profits. Consumer Relationship Management software (CRM) packages have evolved rapidly in recent years and allow for many opportunities not only in customer data collection, but also in improving business in general. Data is always more complex than a simple set of sales figures Companies often have complex sets of data relating to consumer habits, customer demographics, and psychographics. Customers’ locations and lifestyles become parts of vital sets of information that ultimately aid sales. Bigger companies spend millions every year collecting data on customers and using it to inform sales and marketing campaigns. For example, big supermarket chains operate in a fiercely competitive environment where the edge over competitors is often continuous insights courtesy of their CRM software. The more sales outlets a company has, the more sophisticated its CRM software needs to be: collating data involves complex algorithms that statisticians would be unable to perform accurately without the software. CRM software provides opportunities for finer analysis of data Asking the right questions of data is imperative, but knowing what to do with the answers and understanding the varied nuances of the responses can be a laborious task, with no

guarantee of a satisfactory answer at the end. CRM software, on the other hand, can enable you to sift the data in a fraction of the time similar analysis would take by hand. Plus, it provides valid results that help in informing future sales, marketing, and customer support initiatives. Using CRM software effectively means developing an adept analytics team whose focus is to streamline the sales and support areas of the business through data collection and reporting. Analyzing how and when customers order Customers may order your products or services through a range of different channels. Their preferences must be noted to provide the best value support and improve the user experience. Often putting CRM software in place reveals surprising characteristics of customers that were not evident before and provides exciting potential for the future for sales and expanding your company’s customer base.

5 Ways Telecommuters Can Succeed Working Outside the Corporate Office

Working From Home?

Ramon Ray www.smallbiztechnology.com

Along with a long list of benefits and convinces, Telecomuniting also provides a unique set of

challenges. To help you navigate the telecomuting waters productively, consider these five pieces of expertise from Dan Waldinger, Director of Marketing, Solutions & Services for Brother gives some input and advice in how we can be more productive.

Invest in proper technology – Just because you work from home, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have full office functionality. Work with your company to obtain the proper technology needed to make you feel like you are in an office environment. This could include a telephony system, a monitor and business-level apps.

Telework goes mobile - While telework typically equates to working from home, many teleworkers visit client sites and must be able to seamlessly access data and communicate with team members from mobile devices. In fact, according to a 2012 Check Point survey more than three-quarters of the respondents said more than twice as many personal devices are connecting to corporate

networks now, compared to two years ago. It’s important for teleworkers to use mobile apps that connect to company infrastructure to ensure they have everything they need to be successful. Leverage the same collaboration tools - Everyone has a favorite cloud storage provider or document sharing site, but using 12 different tools can lead to major version control issues. Companies with teleworkers should select one collaboration tool that all employees, whether in the office, at home or on a mobile device, can connect to. This way everyone has to most current version of important documents and everyone is working with the same information.

Security is not just for the IT department - With all of the cyberattacks that have been in the news, companies need to be extra careful about the documents that are accessed outside of the firewall. A 2012 survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers found that 82% of data breaches were due to staff errors, such as mobile devices that are lost or stolen with unprotected proprietary data still on them. Teleworkers should talk with their employers to create a secure connection

to the company infrastructure in order to access secure documents from home. Don’t get lost in online translation - Teleworkers need to feel like they are on the same page as their coworkers. Sometimes this can be complicated by email, instant messages and texts—forms of communication that don’t always get the full point (or sarcasm) across. Teleworkers should have video web conferencing technology readily available for meetings to ensure nothing gets lost in translation.

Top 6 Regrets of the Under-Staffed

Gail Tolstoi-Miller www.consultnetworx.com

So, it happened again. You lost the best candidate to the competition. You believed that you and your fellow decision-makers were being thorough. Vetting

meticulously. Explaining the position clearly. You assumed that the candidate would wait for your return phone call and then jump at the opportunity, once offered. You thought wrong… Everyday, I speak to frustrated recruiters, who seethe with disgust at their failed staffing conquests. Here are the most common complaints… If you find yourself speaking these words, heed the advice below!

Evolution Magazine/ June 201324

Target your best potential employees, respect their time, inform them accurately, communicate with them regularly and DON’T LET THE GOOD ONES

GET AWAY!

We should have… Narrowed the field: are you interviewing more than 4 qualified people for an open position? If so (and especially if you have already interviewed excellent talent) you are doing your company — and your career a huge disservice. “Overloaded with Options” will be a constant theme in your hiring strategy and you will never get the talent you need/want. If decision makers are fearful, unable or insecure about making bad hiring decisions, get sourcing and selection process training, fast! Furthermore, consensus-based hiring decisions can backfire when unanimous approval is required. So consider these questions: Are decision-makers empowered to hire an exceptional candidate immediately? And if those conducting interviews do not have that authority, should they be part of this process? The answers to these questions may reveal pitfalls in your process. Gone full throttle: make no mistake, there is still a war going on for the very best talent. If you like an applicant, other companies like him/her, too! It’s the recruiter’s job to establish a strict, time-sensitive, structured hiring process. The recruiter should receive feedback/follow-up within 24 hours of an interview. And a goal date should be set for final decision. Recruiters can utilize automated systems with calendar tools and evaluation forms to simplify the process for all hiring managers involved. Been more available: being over-booked, understaffed or out-of-town are just excuses for pushing off or breaking interview appointments. If the candidate must meet with several staff members, interviews should be scheduled back-to-back during one visit, whenever possible. And if all else fails, hey, it’s the 21st century! Every hiring manager should have access to a computer with Skype or ooVoo capabilities for virtual meetings. Or, at the very least, access to a phone for a phone interview. Candidates cannot easily take off of work for multiple meetings. Don’t drag out the process…you’ll increase the chances of your top choices getting other offers.

Accurately defined the role: there’s nothing worse than interviewing with three different people within an organization and hearing three different job descriptions. What a turn-off for the potential hire! After all, confused, uncertain leadership is usually a telltale sign of corporate chaos. If you want the best candidates to leave with a favorable opinion of your firm, it is vital that everyone involved in the hiring process sign off on the job responsibilities, reporting structure, interdepartmental functionality, etc., before posting a job description! Shown him/her the money: with shrinking budgets and higher overhead, many corporations are bargain-hunting for talent. But hiring managers take note: the very best, highly skilled and experienced professionals know what they are worth and will not settle for less. If you believe that your firm is only as good as the quality of its employees, you must keep pace with salary trends and set competitive compensation benchmarks. Sung the praises of our firm: every company has a unique set of attributes developed to attract potential employees. From the casual, laid-back culture to the corporate gym membership, from lateral career opportunities to company store discounts, speak truthfully but enthusiastically about what makes your working environment unique and enjoyable. The bottom line is to target your best potential employees, respect their time, inform them accurately, communicate with them regularly and don’t let the good ones get away!

In the latter half of the 1800s chinos were adopted as an official army uniform for the British and French. They became popular for U.S. civilian wear after veterns returned from the Spanish-American war wearing them casually, and in their camoflouge or natural khaki color.

Originally made for militaristic war, these 100% cotton twill trousers are now essential for a new war: the style war between those who wear it right and those who are stylish about it. At this time, it is sad to say that the "do rights" are out doing the dapper and jazzy. Since you are reading this article we assume that, rather than going by the book, you want to step it up a notch and put your smart, stylish foot forward. Here's how to level the playing field. The smart, stylish chino hides the stitching along the inseam and outseam. This gives clean lines and ensures a sharper fit. The smart, stylish chino has a taller front rise; they are meant to fit around the waist. Do not make the mistake of buying low-cut or loose chinos, which always lead to an look awkward.

Many fashionistas and bloggers argue that chinos are not the most versatile of clothes; nothing could be further from the truth. There are many ways to wear them, provided you find the right fit, construction, and color. Provided you are smart and stylsih about your chinos, they will be your go-to pair on summer days for years to come. Time to man your guns and let the battle for a stylish summer begin.

DesignLooking Back to Forward ThinkingPK24 Chaise Longue

Numbered 24 in Poul Kjærholm's collection, the namesake PK24 Chaise Longue exemplifies design in ways prototypically and unmistakably Danish.

Created in 1965, the distinctive and timeless "Hammock Chair" is a specimen of iconic Scandinavian beauty, its leather, wicker, and steel (all three of which Kjærholm considered natural materials and orchestrated them as such) finessed into lengthy, clean lines on a minimalist, Rococo aesthetic.

Most importantly however, the PK24 chair is comfortable and will look great in your library or home office--especially while you page through the latest issue of Architectural Digest or re-energize by way of a mid-afternoon power nap between conference calls.

Looking to history for guidance and ahead for inspiration is Dutch national treasure, the Rijksmuseum. After over 10 years of renovation, the cultural and architectural highlight has re-opened with critically spectacular reviews lauding its mastery of relevance and beauty, "which decorates the map of Europe so elegantly" (The Independent). In a cutting-edge-politics nation of vast, influential history, this Dutch gem, which performs the rare part of being culturally mindful of the past without falling prey to getting stuck in her clutches, does so most notably in chronologically displaying Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Van Gogh whilst incorporating the utmost in modern-day technical brilliance. Per installation, the Rijksmuseum will display about 8,000 objects (out of its total collection of over one million), the current of which The Telegraph has declared a "triumph of curatorial intelligence and sensitivity."

Hidden Treasure of the SouthWellington, New Zealand

Travel

Much of the Western World often forgets there is anything south of the Equator, let alone in the South Pacific. Occasionally Australia does come up, but it is rarer yet that the conversation turns to New Zealand. And this is precisely one of the country's greatest sources of strength, beauty, and intrigue.

Upon arrival in Aotearoa, the commonly used Māori name for the country, there are immediate hints and signs of social momentum and exuberance. Just being there and participating in Kiwi culture for 10 minutes one begins to feel the national strength and pride. It is inspirational and infectious. It is the story of the underdog gaining ground against all odds en route to glorious victory. It has a great vibe.

Kiwis are strong, resilient, creative, and empowered in their national identity. And it figures: being situated in the middle of an ocean on a small, mysterious, wildly diverse set of islands, demands fortitude. There is a spirit of survival and of doing things with excellence, which is visible everywhere,

from instinct to interaction, from laughing to landscaping. Walk into an average run-of-the-mill restaurant and, in spite of the affordable menu and charismatic wait staff, the food is a mix of rustic and gourmet; it is exotic, hometown comfort food, and it is presented immaculately.

That said, for perspective, if that Southern Hemisphere corner of the world is lost, and if New Zealand lies in the wake of an Aussie shadow, then Wellington is the national forgotten gem.

New Zealand's capital city sits on a natural harbor with a mountain surround on the southwestern tip of the North Island. The city of 400,000 (out of the country's 4.4m--and about 40m sheep, by the way) was laden with bureaucratic connotations and socio-economic stagnancy, and the drab governmental disposition complimented the gray skies and their long, white clouds. But that has changed. The fact that state jobs have been pared back combined with the still toughen-you-up-weather stirred up

the indigenous Kiwi instincts. The city has become a hot bed for technology and finance, as well as entrepreneurial incubators, while still retaining its "coolest little capital" charm (Lonely Planet, Best in Travel 2011) and New Zealander lifestyle. It has developed a thriving arts and culture scene, and hosts more cafés per capita than New York City.

Wellington has become creative and efficient, productive and cultivated without getting too big. Wellingtonians hardly get lost in the shuffle simply because there is increasingly less of that vanilla, cookie-cutter shuffle. In fact, quite the opposite is true: Wellington naturally spurs an economy of unique, personal experiences all working together, as if it were training for the championship bout where, collectively as long-time underdog, they might deliver the knock-out punch.

After almost two years of meticulous preservation and renovation of the historic Mount Vernon Hotel building, the Two Rivers Brewing Company opened its first floor doors, with the second of four recently finished and now being used.

The structure and location were once pivotal grounds during the hotel's times--and they are today, albeit in a different context. While the history lesson is served up best by a walking oral history tour from the owners, the present day gateway is easily observed: Two Rivers sits atop the 6th Street peak of Northampton Street that delineates Downtown to the its East and West Ward to its West, and in so doing helps connect the two neighborhoods.

The restaurant/soon-to-be microbrewery also helps to revitalize the regional marketplace, featuring various nearby artisanal brew houses for their beer and utilizing fresh locally sourced ingredients for their cuisine, most notably the immediately popular duck fat fries.

Ultimately, the food, drink, and ambiance is excellent, but of particular note is the again-mentioned attention and painstaking effort Two Rivers has given to carry on and cultivate the historically and culturally rich tradition inherited in this building. For that Two Rivers is an immense credit to the city. And that is just another reason Easton is unmistakably on-the-map.

Two Rivers Brewing Company is located 542 Northampton Street in Easton, Pennsylvania. Owners, operators, and beer fanatics Troy and Kathy Reynard are lifelong contributors to and patrons of Easton. They are actively engaged in the greater-Easton community, and own The Cosmic Cup coffee shop on College Hill. We endorse this duo.

Brand new and about to host their Grand Opening in the up-and-coming restaurant mecca of Easton, is Batuque Brazilian Steakhouse. In exceptional South American meat-slinging style, the restaurant offers countless styles and cuts of meat and flavors diners crave.

Beyond the rotisserie, owners Antonio and Paula DeMattos brought inspiration from Brazil, as is seen in favorite dishes, Rodizio (rump steak, turkey wrapped in bacon and sausage.)and Brigadeiro Pave(lady fingers and a Brazilian chocolate ganache).

Batuque is located 154 Northampton Street in Easton, Pennsylvania and has been operating under a soft opening since May 2013.

We endorse this restaurant.
