Components—Ready For Use

NX6581 Optical White — Easy-printing, ready-for-use white ink that can be used as an underbase, stand-alone or highlight white. When printing on 50/50 poly/cotton or 100% polyester dark fabrics underbase Optical White with Defender Dye Blockers.

NX6710 Defender Grey and NX6711 Black — Ready-for-use first down grey or black dye blockers to be used as underbases that filter out polyester dye molecules on 100% polyester fabrics. .

NX6533 Collegiate Colours — A range of 24 high-opacity, ready-for-use colours for direct printing or the production of cold-peel transfers for athletic decorations.

NX6600 Four-Colour Process Series— Produces CMYK designs on white and light-colored garments.

Components—Colour Mixing

NX6504 Mixing Base — A medium-opacity mixing base to be used with Evolution Series Pigment Concentrates to produce Pantone® simulations or custom colours. It is designed for printing on white or light-coloured garments or as a top coat when Optical White is used as an underbase on dark-coloured garments.

NX6505 Process Base — A soft-hand base to be used with Evolution Series Pigment Concentrates to produce CMYK process colours for printing on white or light-coloured fabrics.

NX6550 High-Opacity Base — A high-opacity mixing base to be used with Evolution Series Pigment Concentrates to produce high-opacity Pantone® simulations or custom colours.

NX6700 Clear Metallic Base — A clear base to mix glitter or metallic particles as well as any specialty pigment that when incorporated into a design, that gives the design a special look.

NX6825 Foam-Grip Base — A special-effects base that when mixed with Evolution Pigment Concentrates produces colours that will have a sticky surface after curing. Provides excellent results when extra grip is needed on the palms of gloves or bottoms of socks.

NEVER dries in the screen, allowing high-resolution images to be printed through high-mesh counts and increasing production by not stopping press to clean out dried ink in images.

Low-cure temperature reduces the risk of dye migration on 50/50 cotton/poly blends.

When combined with Evolution Defender Dye Blockers provides excellent results on 100% polyester.

100% solids so that no components evaporate into the air.

Available in base and pigment and ready-for-use colour-mixing systems to reduce inventory of finished inks.

Available in complete range of special-effects inks including metallics, glitters, HD, puff, suede and gel clear.

Requires no catalysts so that left-over ink can be removed from screen and put back into containers after print run thus eliminating waste or any disposal fees.

Meets all major manufacturer's health and safety standards for next to skin decorations.

• Underbase, Stand-Alone or Highlight White • Dye Blockers for printing 50/50 poly/cotton blends or

100% polyester fabrics.

• Base and Pigment or Ready-For-Use Colour Mixing System. • Complete range of special-effects inks and bases. • Additives to modify all inks for any application.

NX6830 Suede Base — A base that when mixed with Evolution Pigment Concentrates produces colours that have a surface texture that simulates the feel of suede leather.

NX6835 High-Density Base — A base used to produce finished colours with the Evolution Series Pigment Concentrates. Combined with a 200-700 micron capillary film stencil on the print side of the screen, NX6835 produces a thick, three-dimensional prints..

NX6838 High-Density Clear Base — A thick base that cures almost clear and when utilized with a thick stencil produces thick, glossy colours when mixed with Evolution pigments, a tone-one-tone effect when printed by itself or creates a wet, glossy look when printed on top of colours.

NX6865 Fiber Mat — A highly effective first-down clear to wet and hold down fibers on garments prone to fibrillation. It also provides an extremely smooth surface that enhances the appearance of overprint colours.

Evolution Pigment Concentrates — A set of highly-concentrated pigments to be used in conjunction with all Evolution Series NX System bases. Pigments are extremely concentrated resulting in finished colours being made with as little as 10% pigment to base ratio.

NX6551 ColorPro Colour Mixing System — A ready-for-use mixing system consisting of 11 components and five Booster Colours for simulating Pantone® or custom colours.

Components--Additives

NX6102 Matte Additive — When added to Evolution inks NX6102 greatly reduces the gloss associated with a cured decoration resulting in a smooth, matte print that will be less tacky or sticky feeling than a normal print.

NX6105 Low-Tack Additive — When added in 3-5% increments by weight Low-Tack Additive will help reduce the amount of pick-up on bottoms of screens as well as help ink clean from the screen image.

NX6106 Low-Cure Additive — Add in increments of 3-5% by weight to lower the cure temperature of Evolution NX Series inks by as much as 20°F. Even though this addition lowers the cure temperature the dwell time inside the heat chamber will not change.

NX6132 Thickener Paste — Add 1-2% (maximum of 10%) by weight until desired viscosity of finished ink is achieved.

NX6390 Viscosity Reducer — A reducer that can be used to lower viscosity or as a print softener in all finished NX System inks. Increments of up to 3% by weight can be added to finished inks without affecting the cure or colour strength.

NX6391 Puff Additive — Add up to 25% by weight. When added to any colour it transforms the flat ink into an ink capable of producing dramatic 3D effects.

NX6392 Suede Additive — Up to 15% by weight that when added into any Evolution direct-print colour produces prints with a soft, smooth surface simulating the feel of suede leather.

Technical Information Direct PrintingGel TemperatureBoth Optical White and Defender will gel and allow top coat colours to be printed without smearing when the surface of the ink film reaches 220°-230°F (104°-110°C).

CuringWhen printing on 100% cotton fabrics NX System inks will cure when in the curing oven for 45 seconds to one minute and the ink film reaches 320° F (160° C). In order to help prevent dye migration on 50/50 or 100% polyester fabrics, inks should be in the curing oven for a minimum of 1 1/2-2 minutes in order for entire ink film to reach between 275°-300° F (127°-138° C). NX6710 Defender Gray or NX6711 Defender Black dye blockers may be required as underbases on dark garments to prevent dye migration. If utilizing Defender Black as an underbase, temperatures can be increased so that the entire ink film measures 320° F (160° C) when inside the curing chamber for a minimum of 45 seconds. Testing is required and should be performed prior to starting a full production run.

ModificationSee instructions for using NX6390 Viscosity Reducer in theComponents section of this Technical Data Sheet.

MixingDo not overload bases with pigments. Evolutions 2 pigments are highly concentrated. Recommended pigment loads in the appropriate base is 10% by weight and at no time should ever exceed 15%. Over-pigmentation of base could result in crocking, curing problems and durability issues. Colour accuracy should be evaluated by printing through same mesh size on like substrate after completely curing the ink film. Unlike previous versions of Evolution Series, crock testing can be done immediately.
