Part A: Download and prepare the file for the tutorial

1. Download the Excel file GBIDataWinter2011.xlsx from the course CLEW site.2. Open the file in Excel.3. Save the file by clicking on the “Office button” on the top right corner of the worksheet.

(from A to Z). Within each state, SORT by “City” in ascending order.

b. Use the COUNT or COUNTA function. Count the total number of US customers.

Use the COUNTIF function to count the number of customers in Colorado. How many customers are there in CO? ______

2. Click on tab “Vendor”. Repeat 1.a. to 1.c. using the “Vendor” worksheet. How many vendors are there in WA? ________

3. Click on tab “Purchase Order”.a. Insert a column and name the column “Purchase Amount”.

b. Calculate the purchase amount for each purchase order using formulas (Product cost * Quantity).
