Harmony Day 2020
The Community Partnerships and Transitions Committee are looking to showcase our students multicultural backgrounds at Bradbury Public Schools Harmony Day celebrations next year. If you and
your child/ren would like to share your culture with Bradbury Public School, please feel free to speak to Mrs Stewart-Conner or Mrs Eddie.
*Any Pacific Islander Dads, Uncles, Big Brothers etc, that would be interested in teaching our Pacific
Islander students a combined Haka, please contact Mrs Stewart-Conner.
After consultation with families and students the fourth house will be called Namut. Namut Gilbert was an Aboriginal tracker and Dharug man who found the body of Fred Fisher in the 1800s. His tribe was from the Liverpool area and he was often referred to as ‘Chief of the ‘Cabrogal Clan‛. He had close relations with both Aboriginal people and white settlers. Namut was the first Aboriginal Tracker to be employed by the NSW Police.

Colour Run
Thank you to all students who participated in our whole school end of year celebration colour run. On
Wednesday week 9, students had so much fun. Thank you to all parents who came to watch student run
through the different colours stations. It was a fun and colourful end to 2019. We raised $2,810.00
which will go into purchasing more robotics equipment.
Year 6 Farewell
Our fabulous Year 6 students had a night to remember at their farewell. They all looked amazing and
enjoyed burning up the dance floor, dinner chit chat, crazy photos in the photo booth, loads of laughter
and of course, many tears.
Our new leaders of 2020 did a wonderful job of representing the rest of the school in their first
official duties as the leadership reins were handed over by our 2019 leaders. Many staff members
enjoyed catching up with students they have watched thrive and grow throughout the years.
A highlight was having more than two hundred family and friends come in at the end of the night to see
the presentation of graduation certificates and to wish the students well as they enter the next phase
of their education. Best of luck 2019 Year Six. We know you will do us proud.
