Location
The site is located at the end of Sybron Way which is an established
industrial area accessed from Rotherfield Road close to its junction
with Crowborough Hill which leads to the town centre. A Tesco store
has recently opened in Sybron Way which leads to Millbrook Trading
Estate and other commercial concerns. Crowborough main line
station at Farningham Road is close by. Other occupiers in this area
include Divine Water, PTS Plumbing Supplies, Plumbase, Pura
Bathrooms and Lancaster Print.
Accommodation
The premises currently comprise two inter-connecting buildings
known as Servomex House and The Pump House set within a site area
of 0.456 hectares (1.127 acres). Surrounding the buildings there is a
substantial car park, grassed areas and a stream. The site in the main
is surrounded by mature trees. Both buildings are now in a poor state
of repair.
Under Application Number WD/2013/1599/MAJ consent has been
obtained to demolish the existing building and construct 2 new
detached buildings providing 9 separate business units arranged as a
terrace of 5 units in one block and 4 in the other and currently with B8
use. The buildings will sit on the footprint of the original buildings
and the main parking area retained providing some 34 car parking
spaces. It is intended the trees surrounding the boundary will remain. continued
