“Action speaks more

than words” assimilating these

words, S. Jayachandran team

7. Too Much Time is Spent

Solving Problems After Pro-

jects Are "Live"

Putting It All Together :

There are literally countless

reasons a project can run into

issues, but the vast majority of

them can be solved with clear

and frequent communication.

This is about more than

Do not matter how

talented you are, if you can‟t

manage your projects, then

you will struggle to achieve

success.

To help you avoid

that negative outcome, here

are seven project management

problems that designers and

developers often face, as well

as how to deal or fight with

them when they arise.

1. Your Client Gives You

different suitation, Ever-

changing Requirements

2. Your Client is Slow with

Communication 3. The Pro-

ject Doesn‟t Start On Time

just talking to your client. Con-

sistent communication is only

created by active effort on your

end. It doesn‟t just happen

naturally.

One excellent prac-

tice you can implement right

away is to send your client a

progress report everyday. This

could be a full report. You

should detail what you accom-

plished this week and what you

plan to do the next week. Do

this every week, whether your

client asks for it or not. So you

can gain clients idea and work

satisfaction

has come off from $1.34 to $1.27 since the beginning of December 2011 to date. Equity indices in the same period have been positive to mildly negative across geogra-

phies. US and European indi-ces have gained over the last one month even as the euro fell to one year lows. A one month trend may

not be a precursor to the future, but looking at the fundamentals of the euro,

the trend may well con-tinue. The trend of a weakening euro and rising equity prices is a good possibility for the rest of 2012. An equity mar-

ket rally across the globe with the euro as the fund-ing currency is well on

the cards. Low eurozone interest rates and high liquidity from the central bank will can act as a cata-lyst for carry trades. Commodities

may not rally on the back of a strong dollar. India can benefit from a global equity rally driven by cheap euro funding. Interest rate differ-

entials work in favour for India as policy rates are 750bps above ECB rate of 1 percent. Growth differential also works in favour for India as it is growing at 7 percent against a zero or negative growth in the euro-

zone. Stable to weak commodity prices on the back of a strong dol-lar will benefit India as it brings down inflation expectations. The markets are now in completely unknown territory and established fundamentals have

broken down. Hence a rally led by euro will be new to the markets and it remains to be seen how it will pan out. - Compiled by P. Kalpana, 1st year MBA

The euro is exhibiting

signs of becoming a carry trade currency. Carry trade is when markets borrow in one currency to

fund the purchase of assets in an-other currency. The end result is a general weakening of the funding currency and rise in prices in some asset classes.

In the last one month the euro has fallen by over 5 per-cent against the US Dollar. Euro

DREAMY INTERVIEW WITH MR. MUHKTAR KENT: COCA-COLA

First & foremost, I

thank you sir for giving me the

appointment for this interview

and I am extremely honored to be

here.

Mr. MUHTAR KENT : Oh that’s

great, Do you consume Coke

everyday?

Nelson A: Yes, sir just now too I

had it...

Mr. MUHTAR KENT: So, I have to

thank you first for being our satis-

factory customer.

Nelson A: Sir I have come here to

ask 5 special questions to you, sir

for understanding your company

and product in best way.

Mr. MUHTAR KENT: Yes,

sure...Go ahead with your ques-

tions Nelson.

Nelson A: Sir, first question is that

I was given a case study, so have it

and tell me what is the Case Study

all about?

Mr. MUHTAR KENT: Gentle-

man..it is my pleasure, let me

see...hmmm...Nelson what I

fathom is that this case study is all

about our company stating a lot of

aspects and reasons of launching

Coca-Cola products in India in-

cluding the growth, drawbacks,

problems like Pesticides etc.,

Marking tactics, social, political,

social, technological factors, at last

as usual with conclusion.

Nelson A: let me proceed to second

question that what is your company all

about?

Mr. MUHTAR KENT: Yep! It is inter-

esting question, so Here I would like to

remind our mission statement stating

to refresh the world, body, mind &

spirit and to inspire moments of opti-

mism through our brand & actions and

finally to create value & make a differ-

ence.

Ultimately it is soft drink

beverages and the prime motive is to

spread happiness to each one’s heart

apart from profit.

Nelson A: Sir, it is going to be crucial

question that who is your sole com-

petitor in details?

Mr. MUHTAR KENT: (Laughing...)

Come Nelson, it is a simple question

that you too know the answer for it,

anyway what We feel that our com-

petitors are our strength because it is

they, who make us to innovate and excel

our potencies towards products and it is

none other than Pespico.

Nelson A: Sir, we heard that your com-

pany faced Pesticides problem in India as

well as global, so apart from it what are

the problem faced by your company?

Mr. MUHTAR KENT: Every good prod-

uct has critics and it is important how

we react to it and we believe optimisti-

cally about criticism, so again we made

history in breaking those fake statement

in terms of Pesticides problems holding

the good result of laboratory research

and I don't think we had a lot of problem

at the past.

Nelson A: But Sir, I have a lot of evi-

dence against your company such as

1) Numerous court cases have been

filed against the Coca-Cola Com-

pany since the 1940s alleging that

the acidity of the drink is dangerous

2) Coca-Cola was India’s leading soft

drink until 1977 when it left India

after a new government ordered the

company

Mr. MUHTAR KENT: (perplexed) Nel-

son..., I think the time is up for my im-

portant meeting, so why don’t you

come after a week, see you Nelson

Good Bye! (Left)

Nelson A: Yes, friends these cases will

be rotted and piled on the court shelf

itself, because Money makes many things.

FIRE BEFORE YOU HIRE!!!

Hiring managers spend

too much time interviewing candi-

datesand asking them the wrong

questions. Then they’re often sur-

prised to have to fire those same

candidates a few months later after

discovering that good interview skills

don’t necessarily signal a great job

fit.

The problem: Employers often hire

for hard skills but fire for soft skills.

"Our new slogan should be, 'Fire

them before we hire them,'" says

Karl Ahlrichs of Hiring Smart, an

Indiana firm specializing in employee

selection

The ability to hire or fire well isn't a

mysterious art...it's a step-by-step

science. With Hire at

Will and Fire at Will, you'll learn:

HIRING:

-8 loaded interview questions

that elicit the information you're really

looking for without having to come right

out and ask.

-Written tests for honestly,

personality, aptitude and productivity ...

which ones work best? Which are legal?

Which ones should you avoid absolutely?

-How to avoid the trap of

"negligent hiring" and when you can safely

refuse to accommodate a disabled worker.

-The "magic" statement to in-

clude on all job applications to retain your

right to fire at will!

FIRING

-How to not lose your right to

fire at will — and how to get it back if you

have lost it.

-How to stop employee crime

and chronic absences.

Your right to test employees for drugs

-Legal roadblocks in the promo-

tion and demotion process.

-How to protect yourself from

age, race and sex discrimination charges.

–Compiled by S. Revathi, MBA 1st year

Doctor, a lawyer and a

manager were discussing the relative

merits of having a wife or a mistress.

The lawyer says: "For sure a

mistress is better. If you have a wife

and want a divorce, it causes all sorts

of legal problems.

―The doctor says: "It's bet-

ter to have a wife because the sense

of security lowers your stress and is

good for your health.

―The manager says:

"You're both wrong. It's best to have

both so that when the wife thinks

you're with the mistress and the

mistress thinks you're with your wife

- you can go to the office and do

some work.
