After the RainBy Ronald James Chapman

Inside the meaning of ourselves, the poets and songwriters look.Just the thought of tears makes my spirit hurt!Always looking, never seeing the words through the rain.

After the dogs of summer stop barking the dreamers breathe,After the rain of the evening, the poets and songwriters learn. In the stillness and cool ness the dreamers rejoice!

All the ghosts have begun humming again.Beside the river of tears, my mind thinks. After the rain, sunny memories sing!

All I WantBy Ronald James Chapman

I am afraid of getting sick.I am afraid of having to stay inside all the time in my bed.I am afraid that I will lose all my friends.I am afraid that my friends will be scared of me because I am sick.I am even scared my friends will think they can catch this cancer from me.

I am afraid of losing my hair.I am afraid of all those chemicals the doctors are giving me.I am afraid that my life will end in pain.I am afraid that my brain is going to stop working.I am even afraid I will never have ice cream again.

I want to get healthy again.I want my hair to grow back.I want to go outside and play in the sunshine.I want I want this cancer to disappear.I even want to taste ice cream again.

I want to ride my bicycle down to the ocean pier.I want to have my twenty first birthday party.I want to go shopping for new clothes.I want to play with all my friends.

I even want to help others who have this horrible disease cancer.

Most of all!I wish this horrible nightmare of cancer was just a bad dream.

Almost ForeverBy Ronald James Chapman

For a thousand times.I put on a happy kind of face. ButI travel on in life as a lonely angel,I like tasting wine and walking the dogs.

I contemplate thousands of times past. But when I start to think,My mind turns straight to forever.

Seeing my reflections in a wavy river,I look into my eyes,I think about forever with a smile.

But I think it's the next thousand hours that will makemy life worthwhile.

Why is it so hard for me to decide which I love more?A thousand days or forever?

I like to use words like 'food and 'travel'.I like to use words like 'charity' and loyalty'.

But when I stop my talking,I daydream about forever.

I like to hang out with tequila and soju. But when left alone,My mind thinks of forever.

Why is it so hard for me to decide which I love more?A thousand Days, orForever?

Always WelcomeBy Ronald James Chapman

I will never ask for a "Thank You."

Even in thousands or tens of thousands of times like this,You do not have to say, "Thank You" to me.

In the moonless darkness of words, the dreamers seek.Beyond this moment of longing the song writers rejoice!Even in thousands or tens of thousands of times like this.I will never ask for a “Thank You.”

This Miracle the cold Bukhan Mountain of this beautiful,Seoul. The children seek to climb. On the cold mountains of this miracle the old ones dream.Even in thousands or tens of thousands of times like this. You do not have to say, "Thank You" to me.

No truth ever spoken was truer than this.Write your words of wisdom in song on the bathroom wall.Looking for any sign of shelter. This wisdom carved in to a brick of white and silver.Even in thousands or tens of thousands of times like this.I will never ask for "Thank You" to be said.

ButterfliesBy Ronald James Chapman

The bushes sail like small colors.

Small, small princesses calmly lead a clear blue path.

All fields pull colorful wings.

Clouds rise,

I see butterflies!

The adorned mountain winds swiftly flights the field of wings.

Butterflies move like a lively sail.

Life, life, and endurance!

So lovely!

Floating quietly, like a winged angel.

The amazing wings swiftly fly to the blue bush!

Never fight a moon!

Wings travel so far...

Life is to short!

Time for never ending sleep.

Bye Bye Butterflies!

Dream of SailingBy Ronald James Chapman

In this vision though time,My journey to the past begins,Beneath the surface of ourselves, my soul rises.

Inside the dream my spirit whispers longing for the past,In the dream though time the waves cry,Amongst the shadows of desire.

Sailing on a clipper ship,Fishing on my trip,In the midday heat of a tropical sun.

The daily death and birth of the tropical sun.

The sleepy afternoon sun sinks into the Western waves,The skies on fire with a setting sun,Blackness of night has come.

Candlelight casts shadows over an ocean of mystery.

Seeing a glow in the sky before sunrise,A yellow sun skimmed the blue horizon,The strong morning sun shines on my face.

Sharks endure!Gulls wave!Winds blow!

Where is the old reef?Courage is a warm shore!

Why does the captain wave?Oh! Island girls wave!

In this dream though time.

EmptinessBy Ronald James Chapman

Life is full of empty holes.

Emptiness, A hole, has opened to be filled.

Looking down.I see honor, sorrow, loss and separation.

My loss brings tears,So much pain!

Emptiness, a chance for a new beginning. Can this be a good thing?Holes to be filled with new dreams and other things.

Emptiness, holes flood with passion,New friends, new dreams, new love,Open heart and open mind.

Life is full of empty holes,That need to be filled.

Ice QueenBy Ronald James Chapman

Paint with skates,Gliding fashion,Crystalline dull mirror,

"CAUTION" The sign said, "Danger of Slipping."

Hearing the notes from a somber tune.,Gift to the world, “Arirang."

Her spin cycle gyrating like a porcelain doll's dream. As she drifts abroad to other shores,They shiver oh, how they shiver.Goosebumps she brings!

The Ice Queen!

ImaginationBy Ronald James Chapman

Imagination is SEEN in every museum,Old and new dreams brought to life.

Imagination FEELS like nature's breeze blowing across your face,It travels with the blowing leaves.

Imagination is a child playing outside,Riding a bike chasing bad guys!

Imagination is HEARD in every child's voice,When they pretend to be a horse, kitty, dog, or a Choo Choo train.

Imagination is EXPRESSED though every poet's feelings!Bringing dreams to life with pen and paper looking at mountains and skies.

Imagination has no limits.Reach for the sky and imagination will give you wings to fly!

Lightning-TigerBy Ronald James Chapman

When you try to lock up freedom in a cage.

Lightning-Tiger strikes with a loud growl.Leaping fast down to the earth.

Loud as canon fire through the night.Falling to the ground in flashes of red light.

The Lightning-Tiger will not run away from you.The Lightning-Tiger will go into a rage. The Lightning-Tiger will chase after you.The Lightning-Tiger will pounce on you.The Lightning-Tiger will show it's teeth at you.

When you try to lock up freedom in a cage.

My Dreams of "The Land of the Morning Calm”By Ronald James Chapman

It began on a wonderful summer morning. It was the most amazing romance around. She was the most beautiful loving place I have seen.

She was my Seoul,My lovely "Land of Morning Calm,My Loving Korea. We used to love so well together.Back then.I wanted to smile together, wave to the world,I wanted to see it all.

But one morning, one great morning,We decided to smile too much.Together we kissed a Korean Magpie flying high.It was respectful, so respectful as a white tiger chasing evil away.

From that moment, our relationship changed. She grew so modern with bright lights everywhere.

Then it happened:Oh no! Oh no!We slept under a cherry blossom tree.Alas, a cherry blossom tree!I fell asleep under a cherry blossom tree.So beautiful, so entertaining my Korean dreams.

The next day I thought my mind had broken,I thought my dreams had burst into flames,(But I was actually overreacting a little.)But still, she is in my thoughts.I think about how it all changed that morning,That awesome summer morning.

Only a dream ... ouch! When I think of that beautiful loving site,That beautiful, loving place.I miss my Korean dreams.Link to poem 'My Dreams of "The Land of the Morning Calm”' at Cosmofunnel.com© 2013 Ronald J Chapman

My Wondrous Journey (Reincarnation) Page 1 of 2By Ronald James Chapman

In my eighty second year of life,On this wondrous blue planet Earth,I lie here in my hospital room bed,Waiting for life to end in dread. With my minister, family and friends,Surrounding me with love, on this day of dread. To see me off on my journey,To the golden gates above. As I look around this dreaded room.I see a familiar face in this scary, sad place! With an amazing smile,And a dazzling glow around her face. This familiar figure and face,Walks to my bed side space,She takes my hand,I get up to stand,I felt this must be my angel Grace.Don't worry she softly whispers.Look to the future, not the past. We're going on a wondrous journey. We fly up through the ceiling,Into a beautiful sunlit blue sky.Though the clouds, into space, We fly...On past Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. We move into the darkness of deep space,At a faster pace,Then fly towards a very bright star.Brighter than anything I've ever seen!We then pass into this wonderful warm, soothing light. This must be the doorway to heaven. I exclaim!Even then, I begin to see glimpses of a.,Wondrous blue world at the end of this warming light. We fly toward this wondrous blue and white world. My angel Grace and I begin to fly down,

Though cloudless blue skies, at a slower pace.Into a room with many angels dressed in blue and white,Surrounding a beautiful figure and face lying,On the bed. With one angel yelling, “Push dear Push!.”My angel Grace then says, “Your new wondrous adventure of life is about to begin.”Then my angel Grace releases my hand,And says, “Always remember to look toward the future and forgetthe past.”My Wondrous Journey never ends...

The End

Remember the GhostBy Ronald James Chapman

She wore a red cap,Thinkin 'bout her again,That's just another bloody trap!

Like a fool, I let the ghost walk through me everyday,

The ghost steals my food,The ghost steals my bed,The ghost is trapped in my head!

This ghost plays with my heart likes it's a toy,She drops the red cap on the floor,She vanishes out my door!

Remember the ghost,She haunts me day and night!

SunriseBy Ronald James Chapman

O, hope!

Moon waves good day,

Day glows like a big morning star,

Where has Venus gone?

Cool morning breeze,

Fogs travel like warm ghosts,

Why does the cloud glow?

Fresh sunrise,

The colors rise like a warm Sun,

Oranges sail!Pinks run!Blues stay!Whites move!

The morning travels like a clear yellow Sun,

Cold clouds fight the Sun,

Birds sing, open wings,Roosters crow!

Looking up,

Hope, love, and life,

Fresh new day. Yay!

The Second Day We MetBy Ronald James Chapman

It is early Sunday morningat St. Luke's Hospital. In the paternity ward.,

Where I adored this beautiful face ---What a wonderful, amazing, astonishing place.,With such a pretty smile and face.,

Before I could cry out to your pretty face.,An angel in a blue coat took you from our place.,

I began to cry out:Where are you taking this pretty face?

I cried, cried and cried.,

Next. The angel in the blue coat. Took me from our place. Can this angel be taking me back to your pretty face?

But no!

This angel took me to another pretty face.,Everyone kept calling this pretty face, “Mommy, mommy, mommy...”

For the next twenty-three years.,While I did my growing and learning.,Mommy was my only pretty face.,

It is early Sunday morning at,St. Luke's Presbyterian Church.,Sitting there, in the church pew.,I see a pretty face.,I cry out, “Have I ever met you in another place?”,The second day we met!

Valentines DayBy Ronald James Chapman

This Valentines Day.I met an angel this day.Her heart was so heavy,That she could no longer fly.

I asked this beautiful creature. What makes your heart so heavy, as heavy as a brick? This angel says,“This day of love is not special for me.”

She began to cry.I have no one to love me,This is such a lonely day for me,This day only brings tears to me.

I say.

Take my heart to help you fly,Take my breath to warm your soul,Take my hand to lift you up,Take my smile to make you laugh.

I saved an angel this Valentines Day.

This Valentines Day.I met an angel this day.Her heart was no longer broken,So she could now fly away.

Visit to Jeju South KoreaBy Ronald James Chapman

The Juju-do endures like a dreamy beer,Never hate a Jespi,Seas endure like big beaches Loveland,Love is a cool breeze.

Never pull a haenyo divers fishing net,The small girls roughly commands the sea,The haenyo divers Mermaids endures like a warm ship,Desolation, life, and endurance!

Clouds wave! Why does the highest mountain hide?Where are the lively grandfather stones?

Adventure, faith, and love,Unreal, sunny and chocolate candy too.

All mainlands fight rough, misty winds,Dreamy shore roughly loves the sun.

Adventure, courage, and life!

Jeju Pony 'Hidden Treasure.”

Sails fall like lively Olle walking trails.Travel roughly like an island reef,The sunny ship calmly views the trails.Sunrise from a volcanic crater.

Sunny fields of barley.

The sun waves goodnight, like a sunny gull,Sun falls!

Courage, dreams and faith,Oh! The wonders I have seen!Jeju-do

You are my first one.Are you ready for some fun?The beating of our hearts is as one.

Only you are in my life,One day I hope you will be my wife,For always and forever.Me and you in love.

I wish there were words beyond the words of love. I couldGive to you. “I cherish you and every moment I'm with you."You are the only one in this world for me.My eyes "Adore" you. MyHeart idolizes your soul. I

Keep trying to think of words that mean “Love greater than love.”It always comes back to your strength, patience, intelligence.Safe to say, “You define the words “Love greater than love.”
