Ordered, That following Leader remarks on Thursday, September 17, 2020, the Senate proceed to
executive session to resume consideration of the nomination of Franklin Ulyses Valderrama, of Illinois, to be
United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.
Ordered further, That at 11:30 a.m., notwithstanding the provisions of Rule XXII, the Senate vote on
the motion to invoke cloture on the Valderrama nomination, and if cloture is invoked on the Valderrama
nomination, the post-cloture time be expired, and the Senate vote on confirmation of the nomination.
Ordered further, That following disposition of the Valderrama nomination, the Senate resume
consideration of the nomination of Iain D. Johnston, of Illinois, to be United States District Judge for the
Northern District of Illinois.
Ordered further, That at 1:30 p.m., the post-cloture time on the Johnston nomination expire, and the
Senate vote on confirmation of the nomination.
Ordered further, That if any of the nominations are confirmed, the motion to reconsider be considered
made and laid upon the table, and the President be immediately notified of the Senate’s actions.
