REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE: Gary Harker

• Gary reminded us of the two presentations asking for assistance in their endeavors;

** RIH – plaques for presentation, and eating off, with logos, etc., burned into them.

Gary informed the group that he and others in the Guild have been diligently working on

these plaques and they have 250 made of a requested 280…. Still going on.

** Heart & Stroke Assn – Gary told the group that they were in the process of getting

designs and sizes, etc., so they can start work on their easels they requested.

DEMO – Stu Rockwood – Techniques for inlay bows in wood.

• Great demo – showing how Stu does his inlays of bow-ties into his wood projects…

Took a bit of time as this is very fine work, but results were excellent.

Sample Laying out bow-tie Fine finish with chisel

Matching hole cut into board Router roughs-out hole Fitted & glued into finished hole

Just needs plaining flush
