Open a window in ArcMap

Save your spreadsheet to your computer as a database file (.dbf)

•Select “Add XY Data”
•Browse your computer for the.dbf you just saved

Select the Coordinate System
•Select a Predefined Coordinate System (for this example: WGS 1984)
•Click “OK”

Your XY data will appear as a layer

You can now select the variables from you database that you wish to be displayed on your map.
