EXHIBITING AT RANDBURG SQUARE

Exhibiting at Randburg Square 2011 / 2012

WELCOME TO RANDBURG SQUARE!

The centre first opened its doors in 1978 and was known as The Sanlam Centre, Randburg. It

was also the first shopping centre to be built in the country. In 2005 the building was renamed

to what it is known today – Randburg Square.

Randburg Square is situated in Randburg CBD in proximity to established residential suburbs

and has been serving these suburbs for the last 32 years. The centre is approximately 51 309

square metres big and currently has 94 shops.

The catchment area is larger than what would be found at a traditional centre and this is

mainly due to the taxi rank situated close to the centre. Therefore the centre mainly serves the

following areas: Randburg, Diepsloot, Soweto, Cosmo City, Bryanston. The influx of business in

the Randburg area has contributed to the large lunch time shopper frequenting the centre and

makes out a huge chunk of the market.
