Day 1 - SATURDAY Departure from North American or other International Gateway Day 2 – SUNDAY Tel Aviv Welcome to Israel! Upon arrival into Ben Gurion International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our airport representative. Transfer to Tel Aviv – Israel largest and modern city in Israel. Check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight. Your hotel is conveniently located near the shore of the Mediterranean Sea and close to Tel Aviv city cen-ter, shopping and attractions. Overnight Tel Aviv. including Dinner

Day3 MONDAY Jaffa / Caesarea / Mount Carmel / After breakfast, visit the ancient Joppa (Jaffa): here was the house of Simon the Tanner (Acts 10: 9-16) and the place of the Miracle of the resurrection of Tabita (Acts 9: 36-43). After the visit drive North to Caesarea Maritima. Visit the Roman Theater, the Herod's Palace, the Palace of the Roman Procurator (Acts 23: 23 and Acts 26: 23 - Paul; Acts 10: 20-48 - Peter and Cornelius), the Amphitheater and the Crusaders' City and Harbor. Proceed to Mount Carmel to visit the Monastery of the Muhraka, where Elijah fought with the Baal priests. From the roofs of this Monastery, we have a beautiful view of the Jezreel Plain. We proceed to Haifa for a panoramic view of the city and harbor. Through the Galilee proceed to Tiberias for overnight. Including Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 4. TUESDAY Galilee/ Yardenit/Jordan River After breakfast, we begin by boarding a wooden boat and sail on as the disciples did 2000 years ago on the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus walked on the water (Matthew 14: 22-23). The ride will end at Ginnosar, to visit the “Ancient Jesus Boat” the remains of a 2,000 years old boat that was discovered in 1986. This boat was used at the time of Jesus and his disciples. Drive to the Mount of Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-11) where Jeuss preached the Sermon on the Mount. We shall visit the heptagonal church that was built by the Italian architect Berluzzi. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the Feeding of the 5,000 and Primacy of Peter (Matt, 13, Mark, 33, 45, & John 21). Church of Multiplication with its 4th Century Mosaic Floor. Driving along the Northern shores of the Sea of Galilee we shall reach Capernaum, the town of Jesus, where he lived in the house of Peter performing from there his miracles and healings (Matthew 4: 13, Matthew 8: 14-15). Here we can stand in what is left of the synagogue in which Jesus ministered. From this synagogue in which Jesus preformed many miracles, and where Peter’s mother-in-law lived and was healed. Through the Golan Heights, proceed to Banyas, the ancient Caesarea Philippi (Matthew 16: 13-20) where Jesus said “on this rock I will build my Church” One of the main sources of the Jordan River. We conclude our day at the Yarde-nit Baptismal site of the Jordan River, near the southern part of the Sea of Galilee. Return to Tiberias for overnight. Including Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 5. WEDNESDAY Nazareth /Megiddo / Jerusalem After breakfast, drive to Cana and visit the church that stands on the spot where Jesus performed his first miracle. Then we continue to Nazareth to visit the Church of Annunciation (Luke 26: 28) and Nazareth Village, where the Bible comes to life. We then travel through the Jezreel Plain on to Megiddo, named also Armageddon - the place where the last battle of mankind is due to take place (Rev. 16:16) - where we shall visit the Museum and this 5,000 year old city with the Gates from the times of King Solomon, the old Canaanite temples and the water tunnel from the time of King Ahab. From here, we travel south through the Jordan River Valley for the ascent to Jerusalem Over-night: Jerusalem. Including Breakfast and Dinner.

HOLY LAND BRIEF ITINERARY

DEPART SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 1, 2012

Day 6. THURSDAY Jerusalem--The Mount of Olives and the Old City. After breakfast, ascend from the top of Mount of Olives where the Lord ascended into heaven (Acts 1) we will have view across the Kidron Valley to the Eastern Gate where the prince of Peace will enter (Ezekiel 44). Will pass by Pater Noster Church. where “The Lord wept” as he beheld the Holy City. Through Palm Sunday Road down to the Gethsemane where you will see 2,000 year old Olive trees that date back to the time of Christ. Walking down the Mount of Olives, we shall visit and pro-ceed to the Garden of Gethsemane, the place where Jesus was arrested (Matthew 26: 36-58), to see the old olive trees and visit the Basilica of the Agony. Driving through the Kidron Valley, we shall reach the Lion’s Gate and enter the Old City to visit St. Anne’s Church and the Pool of Bethesda. We then walk in the footsteps of Jesus along the Via Dolorosa to visit Judgment Hall of Pilate all the way to Church of the Holy Sepulcher (Matt, 27,33,57,28,10). We then will visit the Ethiopian Compound & Monastery. The structure was probably built in medieval times. Here, if a monk is in attendance, you will be shown cruicifix-shaped holy books written in ancient Ge’ez (the sacred language of Ethiopia), and you will have time to take in the paintings that depict the Queen of Sheba visiting King Solomon in approximately 940 B.C. In the afternoon you will enjoy time to shop the colorful bazaars. We proceed through the newly rebuilt Jewish Quarter and the Roman Cardo. We then visit the Temple Institute* to learn all about Solomon’s Temple. We conclude our day at the Western Wall - the holiest place for the Jews. Overnight: Jerusalem. Including Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 7. FRIDAY Jerusalem—Layers of History After breakfast, we visit David’s City, the most ancient part of Jeru-salem and enjoy sloshing through Hezekiah’s water tunnel (strap-on water shoes needed). We then walk along the foundation stones of the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in the Rabbinic Tunnels* also known as the Western Wall Tunnels. Then on to Mount Zion to visit the Tomb of King David and the Upper Room of the Last Supper. To conclude our day, we take in a wonderful summary of Jerusalem history at the Tower of David Museum. Over-night: Jerusalem Including Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 8. SATURDAY Jerusalem/ Bethlehem* / Garden Tomb / New City After breakfast, proceed to Bethlehem * to visit the Church of the Nativity (Luke 2: 1-7). Next we drive back to Je-rusalem to the area of Golgotha (place of the skull) and the Garden Tomb to celebrate the resurrection with Com-munion and a time of praise Drive to the Israel Museum with its Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea scrolls are kept, see the Model of Jerusalem as it was at the time of the Second Temple. Then see the Menorah in front of the Knesset - the Israeli Parliament - and Return to the hotel for overnight Jerusalem. Including Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 9.SUNDAY Massada / Dead Sea After breakfast drive via the Good Samaritan Inn (Luke 8: 25-37) to the mountain fortress of Massada, stronghold of the Jews in the war against the Romans. Ascend to the fortress by cable car to visit the palaces of Herod the Great with its Roman baths and pools. Descend for a possible "dip" and "float" in the salty water of the Dead Sea, the worlds lowest place. On the way back to Jerusalem, stop in Qumran--the city of the Essenes--where the Dead Sea scrolls were found in a cave by a shepherd. Overnight in Jerusalem. . Including Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 10. MONDAY Ein Karem / Emmaus (Latrun) / Abu Gosh After breakfast, we have some free time this morning for shopping in Jerusalem, followed by a late morning check-out from the hotel. We then visit Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist, and continue to Beit Shemesh and the Elah Valley, where David fought Goliath. Driving via Emmaus (Latrun) (Luke 23: 39-44), we proceed to Abu Ghosh, the place where Jesus revealed himself after his resurrection, the biblical Kiryat Ye'arim, from where King David brought the Holy Shrine back to Jerusalem. We enjoy a delicious Middle Eastern farewell dinner in Abu Ghosh and leave for the airport for our flight back home. Including Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 11. TUESDAY Arrive USA Arrive home, with your hearts filled with many fond memories of this Journey of a Lifetime as you begin planning your next trip to the Holy Land.

A Valid Passport with 6 months remaining from date of return is mandatory for this itinerary. ExitUs travel is not responsible for documentation, immigrations, or inoculations.

Cancellation, Penalties and Refunds Policy: 100% of Cancellation Fees are covered by the optional Travel Protection Pro-gram provided premium has been paid and reason for cancellation is insurable. Notice of all cancellations must be in writing and received by ExitUs Travel Services no later than 120 days prior to departure. A signed and completed registration form and Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk form, must accompany the initial deposit. Charges for cancellation will be assessed as follows: Initial De-posits Sep/Nov a total of $500 are non-refundable. 120-90 days prior to departure $800 per person, 89-60 days prior to depar-ture 1000 per person, and 59-0 days prior to departure no refund. Airline prices are subject to increase without notice. Airline tickets are non-refundable. Refunds are paid in future travel credit only if travel protection insurance is not purchased.
