Marshall Test Method:
A. Preparation of Aggregate.
B. Preparation of 12 samples.
C. Find Stability, Flo, Air !oids, !oids of Mineral Aggregate "!MA#, $nit
%eight, Stiffness.
Abstract:
This e'periment is conducted to (ind out the )ptimum *sphalt Content that+ill produced the ma' values (or the needed properties (or the mi'ture that +illbe used in some hi,h+a& construction as a +earin, course. Some o( theseproperties are: Stabilit&! -lo+ and *ir oid. Marshall $esi,n Method +ill be used+hich is used +idel& in the +orld.
The Marshal Method starts +ith preparation the test specimens! +hichre/uired the material proposed (or use meet the re/uirements o( the pro0ectspeci(ications! the a,,re,ate blend combinations meet the ,radationre/uirement o( the pro0ect speci(ications (or use in densit& and voids anal&sis!the 2ul3 Speci(ic ravit& o( all a,,re,ate used in the blend! and the Speci(icravit& o( the *sphalt Cement are determined. See table 5*617 (or *,,re,atepreparation and anal&sis! +here the a,,re,ate and the asphalt +ill be mi'edand (illed in the standard mold compacted! then these compacted specimen+ill be tested (or -lo+ and Stabilit&.
Introduction:
The Marshall Test is the most (amous method (or desi, nin, the Pavin,Mi'tures. The *merican Societ& (or Testin, and Material 5*STM7 hasstandardi8ed the Marshall Test procedure.
The main ob0ective o( this test is to (ind the *sphalt Content in blends!+hich satis(& the optimum values (or some o( the mi'ture properties.
$e(initions related to this e'periment are:6
