Our flagship yacht Orana is perfect for bareboat and skippered day trips and overnight stays, but is really designed for relaxing week-long cruises. From the saloon, covered outside seating area and cushioned sunbathing deck, you can admire sweeping panoramic views of Oman’s uniquely beautiful coastline, peppered with pristine beaches.

This truly magnificent catamaran sails beautifully in lighter winds and cruises comfortably at speed when powered by her twin engines. The fast and powerful Sapphire is ideal for visits to the unspoilt marine reserves, solitary beaches and islands that Oman’s coastline is so famous for.

Day charters - for a 1/2 day (for dolphin watching, for instance) or full day - are fully skippered. Facilities include a large shaded area to relax under after snorkelling, swimming or simply marvelling at the sight of hundreds of dolphins and other marine life in the warm turquoise waters.

around Oman offer a wonderful visibility of 20 to 30 metres. Shallow coral reefs teem with around 1,300 - 1,500 different species, leatherback sea turtles paddle just beneath the surface, and you may even be lucky enough to espy the magnificent whale shark.

Or why not explore the delights of Fahal Island, often called Shark Island because of the different shark species to be spotted? If you’re feeling adventurous, try the cave swim-through – or else visit the Bandar Khairan area with the Al Munassir wreck 30 metres down to glimpse napping turtles and amazingly coloured moray eels.

Located on the Tropic of Cancer and defined by the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea, Oman boasts a rich and astonishing variety of marine life in crystal clear waters. Discover mesmerising annual migrations of fish and captivating coral reefs while visiting sheltered mainland and island anchorages, beautiful secluded bays and mangrove inlets. As well as encountering shoals of barracuda, snapper, angel fish and parrot fish, diving highlights often include leopard sharks, turtles, stingrays and even reef sharks and whale sharks.

Whether you’re a complete novice or looking to achieve dive master, SEAOMAN offers a full range of dive courses and activities. Full safety and activity briefs are clearly given during all courses and dive trips to ensure your utmost safety and comfort.

Our dive boat leaves daily at 0800 and returns at 1600, with the one day trip allowing time for two dives. We conveniently offer a range of dive equipment for you to rent.

For experienced divers

If you’ve a passion for scuba diving, our speciality courses including the PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) course and Advanced Open Water Course. Or why not train as a PADI Divemaster or Assistant Instructor to teach others?

For adults (age 15+)

Enjoy a taster of this exciting sport with our one day ‘Discover Scuba Diving Experience’ or go further by taking the two day PADI Scuba Diver course. Our four day PADI Open Water Diver course is always popular, giving you a lifetime certification and the freedom to dive with a buddy independently of a diving professional.

For children

Children can be introduced to diving from as young as age 8 and can obtain a world-recognised diving certificate from age 10. The PADI Bubblemaker and PADI Seal Team programmes, conducted in the pool, are a perfect introduction to scuba diving for them. The PADI Junior Scuba Diver course and PADI Junior Open Water Diver course lead to the PADI qualification

With SEAOMAN, you can explore the beautiful rugged coastline and marvel at its stunning scenery and enticing beaches through learning to sail with us or hiring a boat once qualified.

Sailing is a brilliant way for all the family to learn something new (children must be age 8+). Our Sailing courses are run from all four SEAOMAN schools: Marina Bandar Al Rowdha; Millennium Resort Mussanah; Al Mouj, Muscat and Sur Marina. Each is unique in its setting and amenities but all offer the same high standards of tuition, fleet and facilities.

We have a range of dinghies according to age and level. Boats for learners include Optimist, RS Qb’a, Laser Bahia and RS Vision. We also have Laser 1s, RS Fevas, Laser Vagos and Hobie 16s for more advanced sailors.

Our Sailing courses follow the Oman Sail national sailing scheme, which is recognised by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF), the world governing body for sailing. They are delivered by a team of qualified Omani dinghy coaches fluent in English and Arabic. Courses are run separately for adults and children with no more than 3-4 students per instructor.

Try out a taster session with a 2-hour introduction that you can book on request. Our 2 day courses, normally scheduled at weekends, are also available mid-week upon request. Private tuition and bespoke courses for individuals and private groups are also available.

Upon successful completion of the Level 3 course, you can hire our dinghies and sail independently.

Oman is one of the most enchanting places in the world to learn to sail. With its warm and clear azure tropical waters, and light and steady winds, the conditions are simply ideal.

A sAiling hAvEnexpertly-taught sailing courses

Al Mouj, Muscat is an RYA-recognised training centre with RYA-qualified instructors who are highly skilled and supportive and use the latest training techniques. They will help you to learn quickly in a safe environment and build your confidence.

The RYA National Powerboat Scheme is a fantastic opportunity to learn to drive small open powerboats such as RIBs (rigid inflatable boats), sports boats and small launches powered by an outboard engine. These are perfect for enjoying short scenic coastal or inland trips and leisurely fishing trips along Oman’s dramatic coastline.

RYA Powerboat Level 1: A practical one-day introduction to boat handling and safety in powerboats without any previous experience required. It covers everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment.

RYA Powerboat Level 2: Provides the skills and background knowledge for you to confidently drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. The course focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations.

The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is a national body for all forms of boating under power or sail. Its practical and theoretical training courses are highly regarded as the best in the world, and we are delighted to offer them.

Al Mouj, Muscat

Al Mouj, Muscat is a resort synonymous with elegance and style. It is a mere 10 minute drive from Muscat International Airport and spread along 6km of breathtaking coastline. Our PADI Dive Centre is conveniently situated in Oman’s largest private marina: the internationally acclaimed Almouj Marina, which is adjacent to Oman Sail headquarters. It is the main base for a wide range of sporting activities and programmes.

Trips for certified divers operate seven days a week from here to the Damaniyat Islands, Fahal Island or the Al Munassir Wreck.

Marina Bandar Al Rowdha

Marina Bandar Al Rowdha is in a truly beautiful setting south of Muscat flanked by the awe-inspiring Hajar Mountains near Al-Bustan and beside the Sultanate’s crystal-clear waters.

This prestigious marina has a welcoming, local atmosphere and offers wet and dry berths, a fully licensed restaurant, bar and swimming pool. This makes it a great base from which to explore the surrounding area as well as experience the incredible mix of flora and fauna of the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. Wreck diving, snorkeling and paradise beaches are all easily available.

Millennium Resort Mussanah

Millennium Resort Mussanah is located 85 km north of Muscat and a 45 minute drive from Muscat International Airport. This luxurious resort features a four-star hotel with spa and fitness centre, and bedrooms with impressive views of the Hajar Mountains, Marina or Gulf of Oman. With its world class amenities and wide range of water sports and recreational activities available, it plays host to many an international event.

SEAOMAN’s PADI Dive Centre is located within the 54-berth private marina, and suitable for certified divers as well as beginners who want to try diving for the first time in the hotel pool.

Sur Marina

Sur, with its rich maritime heritage and long history of dhow-building, was the natural choice for our newest sailing school: the Oman Sail School. This state-of-the-art sailing academy in Sur marina is part of an exciting initiative using the power of sport to contribute to Oman’s development and offer professional world-class tuition to visitors from all over the world.

Twenty years ago, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said stated his vision to ‘release the Omani citizen’s creative energies, bring out their latent talents and skills and enable them to make a greater contribution’.

Established in 2008 as a non-profit organisation, Oman Sail is a pioneering national initiative using the power of sport to contribute to the development of the Omani people. Our unique programme provides our youth with life skills and opportunities.

We innovatively use sailing to rekindle our maritime heritage, foster socio-economic development and promote our country as a high-end tourist destination. We have now established Muscat as a regular destination on the global sailing circuit through hosting international regattas, and are proud of our own numerous racing achievements and awards.
