Accendo was initiated in 2016. It provides

exposure and experience of media industry and

relevant field work. The work from concept

creation to execution of the event is carried out

by the students from NIMCJ and various

Institutes. Guest speakers from different fields

share insights and valuable knowledge in the

event.

NIMCJ, in 2010 introduced an open

platform to discuss, present and share the

insights of media industry. Prominent

speakers from various media fields have

shared their experiences and perception.

They also interact with our students and

share the convergence of media domain.

With every passing year, this initiative

continues to grow bigger, better and

Media MusingsA new segment joined recently, Media Musings is the showstopper of NIMCJ. Interaction with guests and subject experts, this helps people get a better insight directly from the expert point of view

As cinema is a tool of media, this club is carried out every Wednesday. Students are shown movies and is followed by an in-depth discussion from the perspective of cinema.

Movie Club

Through this, NIMCJ has managed to

give an open stage to the students

and people for discussion, debates

and intriguing subjects related to

common man. From problems faced

by people to education to politics,

everything is discussed openly and

boldly. Till now, we have successfully

completed 50 episodes.

Antahkaran is an online magazine that has been setup by NIMCJ students. It is a platform to share creativity and articles, views and reviews related to media and journalism.

Shri Devang Bhatt – He is an award winner, well known trainer of aspiring anchors and Channel head of Gujarat’s first 24x7 news channel-Gujarat News.

Shri Amar Trivedi – He is the Legal Advisor for NIMCJ, a reputed advocate by profession, and has been associated with Doordarshan Kendra, Ahmedabad since 25 years.

He has a Master’s Degree in English Literature, and topped the university For his Master’s Degree in Mass communication & Journalism. With a strong academic background and a regular participation in national and regional news channel debates on political & social topics, Dr.Kashikar is the perfect leader the institute could have asked for!

Dr. Shashikant Bhagat Dr. Shashikant teaches the students about the nuances of marketing communication. He holds a Doctorate Degree in Journalism and Master’s Degree in Mass Communication & Journalism, also a P.G. Diploma in Media Laws, and is the perfect blend of marketing and mass communication skills.

Mrs.Ila Gohel

Mrs. Ila Gohel is the Assistant Director-Admin of NIMCJ with a noteworthy experi-ence of over 18 years in managing the academic and administrative fields. she has worked with numerous national and international NGOs and has represented them at national level seminars and conferences.

Mr. Kaushal Upadhyay

Mr. Kaushal is a respected faculty of NIMCJ, who has 15 years of experi-ence in Electronic Media. He has directed over 50 documentary films and has 11 years of experience in academic. With the knowledge of film studies to photography, docu-mentary to corporate films he specialises in every aspect.
