Kershaw BIM procedures use advanced software applications to deliver stage models from Stage 3 through to Stage 5.

The BSI verification certification represents our ability to go above and beyond the normal requirements in order to achieve this high standard.

We are compliant with PAS 1192-2:2013, BS 1192:2007 and BS 1192-4:2014.

Stage 5 models are used for in-house ductwork fabrication and off-site pre-fabrication of pipework to aid faster delivery and installation of projects. Kershaw is constantly reviewing and enhancing our processes to ensure we deliver accurate models with

CoBie output available and during the relevant stage, clash detection and collaboration with all design team members.

We take the lead on the coordination of the full M&E services and collaborate closely with Architects and Structural engineers to resolve challenges that arise before the installation starts, saving both time and money.

The software and process we use enables us to work with our supply-chain to ensure models are updated and co-ordinated. Model mark-ups can be shared and accessed by the design team enhancing the process to ensure full coordination is achieved.

We have access to the latest software and updates:

- Aut odesk Revit - BIM authoring software used to co-ordinated M&E with other design models.

- Aut odesk Navisworks Manage - Federating models for use with the design teams and Clash Detection

- Aut odesk Bim 360 Glue - Enable models to be used on site with the use of tablets for view, clash detecting and mark-ups.

- Kershaw use this with our supply chain to keep live model mark-ups and clash detection throughout each stage of the project.

- Aut odesk Bim 360 Field - Used for internal snagging of M&E. Data collation of equipment for F&M teams

- Aut odesk Fabr icat ion CADMEP - Add in used within Revit to enable a fabrication standard within Revit for M&E services. This is predominantly used at Stage 5.

- Dynam o for Revit - Programming/Scripts to automate Revit processes, particularly useful when delivering CoBie data to save time

Kershaw Mechanical has its own in-house ductwork manufacturing and pre-fabrication facilit ies. This enables full control over the quality of ductwork and the production time-frames.

Because ductwork is only manufactured for our own projects we have a tight control over cost, quality control, manufacture, delivery and installation.

The in-house manufacture also allows us excellent response times to design changes and can supply offsite pre-fabrication of pipework, bracketry, support steelwork and many other bespoke specially fabricated steelwork items.
