Explore the forest We offer a range of fully guided tours, so that you can discover Tasmania’s southern forests with a local. They will also tell you about the important scientific research at Warra that goes on right “next door” to the AirWalk. Don’t worry about steps or accessibility! We offer a regular free shuttle to the entry point to ensure everybody gets to experience this unforgettable adventure. Our free shuttle also offers transport to other areas of the site to help maximise your enjoyment. Can’t fit it all into one day or you just can’t leave. Stay and sleep among the giants of the forest.

The Lodge is ideally suited to families, couples, school groups and backpackers, with a total of eight rooms accommodating up to 23 guests. The heart of the Lodge features a communal lounge with a fireplace, a television with a selection of movies, books, newspapers, free WiFi access, a dining area, fully equipped kitchen and shared bathroom facilities.

Tahune Cottage is a warm and comfortable fully self-contained building with 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 4 persons. Facilities inc. full kitchen, large bathroom, living and dining area, TV with movies, private BBQ area and electric BBQ.

Overnight guests have an exclusive opportunity to experience an ‘owl’s eye’ view of the Tasmanian forest at night! Tahune becomes an enchanted forest after the daytime visitors have gone home and the nocturnal animals come out to forage – and as an overnight guest it’s yours to explore as well. Special night-time trail markers guide you along the forest floor to the AirWalk, where you’ll truly sense the power of nature as the mighty Huon and Picton Rivers converge in the darkness 50 metres below your feet.

The only special equipment you’ll need to make this magical adventure your own is a torch – bring your own or buy a headlamp in the Visitor Centre.

Tasmania’s ‘must-see’ forest attraction Tahune AirWalk offers a full day of fun in the great outdoors for the whole family.

Experience breathtaking views of the forest canopy, wild southern rivers and glorious scenery. Marvel at this unique 620 metre long walkway high above the forest floor. Experience the views from the cantilever suspended 50 metres above the Huon River.

Swinging bridges walk - journey through the forest to the spine-tingling swinging bridges and witness the power of nature as you cross the 100 and 75 metre long suspension bridges spanning the mighty Huon and Picton Rivers.

Eagle hang gliderThrill seekers, you can’t go past the eagle hang gliding adventure! Enjoy the excitement of gliding at speeds up to 40 kph. Begin your flight from the treetops, taking in the magestic views as you glide over the Huon River. Enjoy this safe, 400 metre long, cable controlled experience. You can even touch Tasmania’s famous Huon pine from the viewing platform.

Due to safety requirements passengers must weigh between 25kg and 125kg.
