Moira’s Meditation Group on Tuesdays has been cancelled for now and will resume in September. We would like to celebrate with you! Let us know of your birth date if you are 80 and over and of your anniversary date if you have been married 50 years or more. Contact the church office so we can share your good news. Garden Sale Thank-you A big hug of a thank you from the Shelbourne Community Kitchen for hosting such a successful Garden Sale Fundraiser for them. We made $5,600 and counting as funds are still coming in from after-sales. It was a huge effort by members of the congregation who donated plants and tools; set up tables; provided the cash float; served coffee; taught children’s crafts and sold merchandise and we should all be proud of the way the local community came together to make the fundraiser happen. It was a festive event and one party of supporters was overheard to say "What a fun morning together, and the prices were so good and best of all it was for a good cause!” How can you beat that? So once again Thank you so much for your help. ~Vivian Skinner

It’s full of church and wider community news.

The Friendly Octopus First of all, thank you for all your wonderful donations which continue to bring us good revenue and happy customers. We still need children’s books, blankets and all linens in general.

Bazaar 2017- Nov. 4 Do you have toys around the house that you no longer need? Mary Jane and Beth are busy working on the toys to get them ready for the bazaar. Please mention this stall to families that are wondering what to do with their children’s toys.

Jars are needed as jam making season approaches. Donations of fruit, certo, lids, sugar, etc are also appreciated.

As you continue your Spring cleaning remember the bazaar needs donations, of yarn, fabric, handbags, International Items, Home decorations, craft supplies, books, linens, vintage items and new items. We are in need of larger items for the Silent Auction as well. Remember the collection for the bazaar is a year round task as everything is sorted and priced monthly. Contact Marilyn 250-479-5676 if you have any questions.

Jewelry Party – May 29 from 1-3 pm All are invited to help sort jewelry for the Bazaar. /;
