• Founded in 1939 in very difficult times, start of World War II

• Shortage of raw materials, (mainly steel, copper, brass)

• Shortage of labours (men getting drafted into the army)

• Biggest problem was loosing export markets!

• First time the very independent companies started to form a joint force!
