Design Rules Check
Before proceeding to Gerber and NC Drill files generation, a DRC (Design Rules Check) must be performed in order to check your layout respects all the manufacturing constraints.
In Eagle, after having loaded your board file, select : Tools / DRC which will open a popup window.
• Click on “Load”
• Select your .DRU file (containing your Design Rules) • Click on “Open”
Your Design Rules will be loaded.
• Click on “Check”
NB: Correct all errors before proceeding to the next steps.

• Select the file “gerb274x.cam“ for 2 layer PCB or “gerb274x-4layer.cam“ for 4 layer PCB • Click “Open“
The new displayed interface should look like this :
It permits to define the generated Gerber files and which layout layer to include for each file. Each Gerber file is defined by a dedicated Tab and each Tab has to be filled precisely with the right section name, the right file extension and the right layers. NB: Mirror option must be unchecked for all the Tabs.

Create the following Tabs : Component Side (Top layer):
• Extension “%N.cmp“ • Selected Layers : “1 Top”, “17 Pads”, “18 Vias”
Solder Side (Bottom layer):
• Extension “%N.sol“ • Selected Layers : “16 Bottom”, “17 Pads”, “18 Vias”

Border (Board Border / Cutting) :
• Extension “%N.gmb“ • Selected Layers : “20 Dimensions”, “46 Milling”
If your PCB has more than 2 copper layers, one tab per internal layer has to created :
• Extension “%N.loX“ : X being the internal layer number counting from Top to Bottom • Selected Layers : “xx Internal layer X”, “17 Pads”, “18 Vias”
Once all the previous Tabs created / correctly filled :
• Delete all other existing Tabs : Select them one by one and Click “Del” • Click “Process Job”
Once process job is terminated, close the CAM processor job window.
