After-school Activities: AdvancedThere are a myriad of things to do after-school.
Hanging out with friends is something I look forward to doing on most days. We often rollerblade until we just can’t go any more and we use every ounce of energy we have. ►We crank up the jams and do jumps or we create patterns. ►Occasionally we perform grinds which is when a skater jumps up onto a pole and balances his way down it. ►It takes “a lot” of skill to do this maneuver so don’t try it at home unless you have been skating for a long time. Usually we head to Simpson Park because it is safe and it has a humongous parking lot that is shaped like a crazy eight. ►Typically, we put obstacles such as cones in the way to make it more of a challenge. One time we had a contest to see who could rollerblade the longest. Guess who won? Me!

On the other hand, I truly enjoy doing gymnastics after-school. It is my life. The floor routine is my favorite activity because I use my creative mind to create new and imaginative moves. ►Also, I can tumble or do some outstanding dance moves on the spring floor. One day I plan on entering into the Olympics. Well, a girl can dream can’t she? This will require a lot of perseverance on my part by practicing at least three days a week without fail. ►As Vincent Lombardi once stated,” Practice does not make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect.” ►I think he may be right. The three o’clock bell is ringing. I have to go. School is out and I have tons to do!

Bows: After-School Activities Relax, chill, unwind… school is out! Free your mind when school is out. The three o’clock bell is ringing. I have to
go. School is out. After-school time is MY time. What kid doesn’t look forward to the three
o’clock bell. I sure do. School’s out, school’s out. Teachers run for
your lives. After-school activities rock my world.

Pull Those Weeds! Did you space between your words? White spaces between your words. Did you begin all ten sentences with a capital letter? Did you finish your sentences with periods? Did you write from the left red margin all the way to the margin on the right? Did you indent the red and green sentence? Did you put any upper case letters in the middle of your sentences other than
...I , names etc..? Example: I cAn go to beD on tiMe. (A,D,M needs to be lower case)
Did you capitalize I … if you had an I? Is your handwriting legible… it is neat? Did you trace over any of your letters more than once… if so erase them and
re-write the letter without tracing it? Did you write too lightly so your writing can’t be read? If so, rewrite the letter
so it can be read. Did you spell prompt words and words in the brainstorm and word bank
correctly? Do your details have more than seven words in the sentence? Is your bow exciting?

Run On Sentences
© 2010 Write Reflections and its licensors.
If two or more sentences are written together without punctuation, you confuse the reader.
You then have created what is called a run on sentence.
These are also called fused sentences.
These are SERIOUS errors because the reader has to re-read the sentence
Many people like to go out and to eat. One place I love to eat at is Olive Garden their salad and bread sticks are to die for. I can’t resist their all you can eat salad with olive oil on top. After I eat, my mom usually lets me order dessert.
Another fabulous restaurant is Don Pablos. Now if you ever go there, you will have to their chips and salsa. They even will give you refills on your drinks they are in thirty-two ounce size cups. I usually order their homemade chicken tortilla soup because it is unlimited, too. I can’t wait to dine at one of these remarkable restaurants. I would give them both five stars.
