Meet David McDaniel, Director, Bank Star OneOne of the most satisfying features of our

monthly Star Gram is reading about the many activities in which our employees and directors are involved in all of our communities. Since we serve the community’s financial needs, we also have an obligation to help make our respective communities strong by working with the various volunteer groups, chambers of commerce, and government groups for the betterment of everyone.

Tabitha Storie, universal banker at Bank Star Pacific, has some light-hearted fun announcing her recent graduation from St. Louis Community College (Forest Park). She graduated with a degree in Applied Sciences, majoring in Respiratory Therapy.

Dori Shirley, deposit operations manager/branch manager at Bank Star One (Fulton), presents the bank’s 2015 art scholarship award to Fulton High School student Ryder Russell. Russell earned a $500 scholarship from the bank. He will be attending Moberly (Missouri) Community College in the fall.

Fulton (appearing as a Facebook post by customer Jim Clark, who received a home improvement loan from us): “This wouldn’t have been possible without the trust and assistance of Bank Star One. Tim and Victoria made it seem almost effortless. My mother started banking there back in the 60’s when they were the First National Bank. They were always good to her and have continued that practice with me. So a big thank you goes out to you and all of your staff.”

As of May 28, Bank Star is one of only 400 institutions worldwide to have reserved a .BANK domain through the ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) international domain registry. The American Bankers Association-endorsed program will eventually lead to most banks migrating to the more secure domain. Only registered banks may sign up for the new domain after an extensive review and confirmation by international registry organizations.

Our current domain www.bank-star.com will continue. We will most likely re-direct .com inquiries to the new .BANK domain at some time in the near future. We have reserved both bankstar.bank and bank-star.bank domains.

Bank Star Reserves .BANK Domain

The Fulton and New Bloomfield branches of Bank Star One will test a “Tell-A-Friend” promotion to boost checking account sign-ups. The campaign, which will begin in early June and continue through August 31, will offer a $25 MasterCard Gift Card to any current bank customer who successfully refers a friend to open a checking account AND Goal Savings account. When the friend opens their accounts, they too will receive a $25 gift card.

Bank Star One to Test Tell-A-Friend Promotion

With Goal Savings, customers can sweep money from their Bank Star Checking Account on a weekly, twice-monthly or monthly basis into their Goal Savings account.

The account earns interest and customers must also have a checking account at Bank Star. Minimum deposit to open is $100. Amount of regular transfer can be a little as $10. It’s the easy way to save for new car, a down payment on a home, college tuition, a vacation or any goal!
