Designed and trialled directly with the End users and Hand Safety at Work in Mind lhrmarine.com | [email protected] The extendable safehands tool offers industrial hand protecon and safety during the liſting and seng down of loads such as containers. Other applicaons include the gathering of small liſting bridles and the prevenon of spinning. The Safehands tool conforms to the EN 13921:2007 EU Harmonized standard. Always check the Integrity of the Safe-hands Tool before and aſter use then return to appropriate storage area on compleon of tasking.- Be aware of pinch points, keeps hand well clear of the head during use. Avoid contact with tool head during use. Do not use the Safe-hands tool for any other task than the turning/spinning of Loads and the gathering of Slings/Bridles. When used to connect to liſting bridles or master-links from containers the user should support the enre weight of the shaſt with both hands, the tool should not be placed against the side of the container and used as a lever. This may cause excessive point loadings which can damage, weaken and may break the shaſt. Never use the hand-tool to wedge and lever pipe. Determine if work site environment and Load properes are suitable for the Safe-hands tool to be introduced i.e. Risk Assess. If in doubt that the connued suitability of the Safe-hands tool for a selected Liſting Operaon, STOP the operaon and re-assess the task. Good communicaons must be present between the Tugger/ Operator/ Crane Operator/ Banksman/ Safe-hands tool Operator. Safe-hands tool operator to be aware of load when supporng it on crane hook. Never get into a posion that you end up under the load. The Safe-hands tool should be held on both hands at the recommended points i.e. one hand on the forward grip and the other on the rear hand grip. A good stance should be adopted and the Operator should ensure the Safe-hands tool is being held in a manner that will not cause personal Injury should circumstances change. Do not stand directly behind the tool or use your torso to impart leverage during operaons. When used in conjuncon with the Plaorm Crane the Safe-hands tool should only be used for the turning/spinning of loads, applying the minimum of force required to assist the load; do not push or pull the load out of a vercal axis in relaon to the crane wire. This may cause the load to swing pung the user at risk of injury. If Condions change and the Safe-hands tool is no longer required, ensure the Tool is stored correctly and does not become a trip hazard. Avoid contact with power lines or rotary equipment. It is important you remain aware of your posion in relaon to other equipment or obstacles, prior to operaon. Ensure trip hazards obstacles and any other hazards have been idenfied and risk eliminated or reduced to safe manageable levels The Safehands tool should only be used if idenfied as the safe opon by risk assessment. It may not be suitable for every task. The extendable safehands tool offers industrial hand protection and safetyduring the lifting and setting down of loads such as containers. Other applications include the gathering of small lifting bridles and the preventionof spinning.

The Safehands tool conforms to the EN 13921:2007 EU Harmonized standard.

Always check the Integrity of the Safe-hands Tool before and after use then return to appropriate storage area oncompletion of tasking.-
