Taiga exterior wood

Taiga exterior wood is a high quality pressure treated product, formerly known as Taiga Select. You can expect the same great product that you have trusted for years but with a new name. Treated at our own facilities (Envirofor), Taiga exterior wood is tough enough to stand up to termites, fungal decay, and is versatile enough to be used in all types of natural environments. Nature made it first. We make it last.

Our treated wood has an extended useful life compared to whitewood as it is more resistant to rot and insects.

Taiga exterior wood is safe to use for garden boxes. All of our treated wood products use preservatives that are regularly evaluated by the Health Canada Pest Management Regulatory Agency. Laboratory studies indicate that there is no cause for concern from uptake of preservative ingredients into fruits or vegetables.

Taiga exterior wood is approved for use in fresh water applications.

Taiga’s exterior wood is treated with the same chemicals, regardless of colour, so there is no difference between choosing one over the other aside from aesthetic preference. Research suggests that colour is a consumer preference.

Mild soap and water will remove mold and other debris. Please allow the treated wood to dry before using again.
