Canada, in the amount of $2000. This bursary is offered

who are protected under the Immigration and Refugee

The Scholarship is valued at up to $3,000. It recognizes

an English language learner graduating from a BC

secondary school who has combined academic

competence with school and community service, and

who wishes to further his/her education at a post-

TEAL ELL Scholarship must be documented permanent

Denise Coutts Memorial

Scholarship

The Denise Coutts Memorial Scholarship was founded

in November 2014 after the sudden loss of Denise to

gynecological cancer. Denise was a pillar in the sport

community and non-profit sector and advocate for all

women and girls. Denise was a high level athlete,

volunteer, coach, promoter and builder. Her legacy will

be everlasting and the impact that she has left on others

is timeless.

Each year, two female student-athletes will be selected

and will receive a scholarship of $500 to pursue their

post-secondary education.

Applications can be made if the following criteria are

met:

1) Be a graduating grade 12 female student athlete

2) Have participated in high school and/or provincial

sports during the current school year

3) Have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities

Valley Excellence Entrance

Scholarship

AVAILABLE TO: A student graduating from G.W.

Graham Middle-Secondary School who is entering full-

time studies at UFV.

CRITERIA:

1.The applicant must be planning to attend the UFV as a

full-time student (9 post-secondary credits or more per

semester) in the academic year immediately following

their Grade 12 graduation.

2.The applicant must have already submitted an

application for admission to UFV.

3.The applicant must have a high academic standing

with an overall B average or 3.0 GPA in all Grade 12

courses (must include at least 3 Grade 12 provincially

examinable courses).

4.The applicant must meet all entrance requirements and

prerequisites for the UFV program that they have

applied to.

5.The applicant must be able to demonstrate high level

of leadership, determination and effort. They should

also have made significant contributions to school life

and have participated actively in the community.
