1.1.2 Examining the sceneIt was a hot morning with a temperature of 92 degrees fahrenheit . At 9:45 am an emergency 911 call came in. A neighbor named Doug Greene reported that his neighbor Anna Garcia's dog had been barking excitedly for the last 2 hours. This is very unusual in their quiet suburban neighborhood. He had last seen Anna at 6:30am when she was walking her dog. Anna was also wearing a long sleeve sweater which is unusual in the heat wave they were experiencing. Doug tried to call Anna but she didn't answer. He then tried to ring the doorbell. The 911 operator notified the police and EMT, which both arrived at the scene at 9:56am. After breaking down the door they found the following scenario; it was a comfortable 73 degrees fahrenheit, they found Anna laying face down in the entry hallway, vomit near her mouth, a syringe near body, spilled pills by her right hand, blood on the floor near her head and a cell phone. Upon further examination of the scene they found fingerprints on the cell phone. As a result of the questionable situation the police immediately notified the Crime scene investigators.
