He has provided a range of M&A and strategic consulting services over a span of 9 years to private and government clients in infrastructure development.

Mr. Athar ShahabCEO, Infrastructure & Real EstateVedanta GroupMr Athar Shahab is the CEO of the Infrastructure and Real Estate sector of Vedanta group. He has been involved with several initiatives of the Government of India to promote PPPs and has advised the National Highways Authority of India and the Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways. Mr. Shahab has also assisted the Rakesh Mohan Committee on Infrastructure, PMs Taskforce on Infrastructure, Rakesh Mohan Committee on Indian Railways and Naresh Chandra Committee on Civil Aviation.

Dr Pawan SinghDirector Finance, PTC India Financial ServicesDr. Singh is the Director-Finance of Company and has more than 25 year of experience in financing including infrastructure finance. In this time, he has handled several financing proposals, both from the perspective of borrowers and lenders. Dr. Singh has also been closely involved with the first public-private-partnership project in the power sector.

He is currently a visiting faculty member in the area of corporate financing, infrastructure financing and project financing at several management institutes in India. Dr. Singh was a member of the Civil Services and has a PhD in Financial Management. He has also served as director finance at Delhi Power Company Limited, Delhi Transco Limited, Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited and Pragati Power Company Limited. Before this he was GM in Powergrid Corporation Ltd.

Dr Mukesh KumarVice President, SBI Capital Markets

Dr Mukesh Kumar is currently working as Vice president at SBI Capital Markets Limited and heads the Transport Sector vertical in Delhi. He has experience of more than twelve years in infrastructure financing and worked on financing of number of road sector projects. In his current role, he is responsible for handling projects in the area of infrastructure sectors related to Project Financing, Debt Fund raising, Business Valuation, Restructuring and Bid Advisory for various clients. He has been involved with several government initiatives to promote PPP and apart from infrastructure financing, he has also worked on financing projects in manufacturing sector viz. steel, textile etc

Mr Mayank BansalDirector Infrastructure Funds, IDFC Alternatives

He is alum of MDI from the batch of 2002 04Mayank has over ten years of experience across project finance, investment banking and private equity, primarily in the infrastructure sectors.Currently he is a Director with the Infrastructure Fund of IDFC Alternatives. His earlier stints were with the Transaction Advisory Services team at Ernst & Young and the Project Advisory team at SBI Capital Markets Limited.

He has been teaching and doing research and consultancy in the area of energy and economics for the last 28 years. Besides playing a key and decisive role in MDIs intellectual and administrative functioning Dr. Atmanand has held various national responsibilities including his association as Member of the State Finance Commission Government of Bihar and with the Planning Commission Government of India.Dr. Atmanand is a deep researcher, teacher and writer. He has authored 16 books and published 90 research papers in refereed national and international journals. Dr. Atmanand is currently the Member of Adhoc Task Force (ATF),Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India.
