Turning your Society into an

EYEWITNESS Experience for the

Reader!

The breakdown for the written assessment for your societies

How is our Identity shaped

by our Society? In response to this essential question, you are being tasked with creating a descriptive and

informative “eyewitness” book about an imaginary society. This expository text will serve to examine your society for its cultural universals, ideas, and concepts. For this project to be successful you will need to work collaboratively to organize your ideas into rich paragraphs full of relevant facts, concrete details, and illustrative graphics, with captions and

quotations. You will also need to provide a creative analysis explaining the role of an

individual in your culture.
