Anything given preeminence in our hearts.
Any practice that stirs up unholy desires.
Idolatry?
When it becomes a focus of the mind (1 Cor 11:27-32; Heb 10:28-29).
When does something become idolatry?
When it becomes a reason for missing assemblies (1 Cor 16:13-14; Heb 10:24-25).
When does something become idolatry?
When it becomes a cause for cancelling worship assemblies (Acts 20:1ff).

When it becomes a fascination for its lustful appeal (Jas 1:12-13; Psa 101:1-8).
