ROCKETEER CAMPGround control is calling all rocketeers to join this explosive camp. Blast off to the disc golf range, practice flying kites and drones, and get your launch on! JR TRAILBLAZER CAMPAdventure is out there! Who wants to be stuck inside all day when the weather’s going to be perfect for a great adventure? Seek courage and aptitude for the great outdoors. Come explore the secrets of the Truckee River, or stand in awe at a waterfall. Possible deer sightings may occur. Join us as we journey into the natural elements and gain insight from teachers and wilderness guides. This camp is designed for the beginning adventurer. Hiking distances range between 1-2 miles. *Hikers will be back in time for lunch. Ages: 6-9 (20 members)Hours: 9am-12pmFee: $115Schedule:Week 1 (June 8th-12th)

STREAM & TRAILBLAZER CAMPWe’re blazing trails this year as we get out into the Nevada wilderness. Whether you’re an avid outdoor enthusiast or you’re still new to exploration, this camp will certainly get you ready for the trail. Gaze across Donner Lake from the Truckee Snowsheds, build adobe bricks and uncover mysteries surrounding Fort Churchill, come fish with us at Crystal Peak Park, and so much more. This camp is designed for novice to intermediate hikers. Some hikes may range from 2-3 miles. *Hikers will be back in time for lunch. DIRECTORS CUT FILM CAMPLights...Camera...Action packed camps are hard to come by, but this camp is sure to be a blockbuster hit. Come learn the art of storytelling as we gain valuable practice in storyboarding, scriptwriting, acting, set design, cameras, and post-production. If you have ever dreamed of being a professional in the film industry or are just curious what it might be like, this camp is for you. CLUB KIDS’ COLLEGE

CKC is a great opportunity to introduce members to the excitement of college! Campers participate in trips to the Nevada Football Stadium, the Judicial College, Planetarium, Engineering Labs, the Innovation Center, and the Honors Program. GREEN THUMB GARDEN CAMPTo plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow. The concepts learned while gardening can show youth a deep respect and responsibility for taking care of our planet. During this week-long camp members will visit various local gardens and work with gardeners to peak their interest, ensure a passion for the environment, and create lasting healthy habits. SMART GIRLS CAMP Girls have to deal with a lot these days from the

pressures of peers, dealing with bullies, taking care of

their growing bodies, being stressed out about how

they look and if they will fit in. SMART Girls teaches girls

the skills they will need to stay healthy, be active, eat

right, set goals and develop confidence.

Ages: 9-12

Hours: 9am-12pm

YOGA CAMP Yoga camp will guide members to love their Mind, Body,

and Spirit. This week-long camp will expose different

tools and techniques through guided meditation and

yoga practice at a local studio. We strive for progress

not perfection.

ENGINEERING CAMP This summer engineering minds will put their innovative skills into practice. In small teams members will participate in the problem solving, design, and creating processes of engineering. Campers will design and assemble their own small scale buildings, cars, helicopters, etc. All while learning the value of Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, and Environmental engineering disciplines.Ages: 8-12Hours: 9am-12pmFee: $115Schedule: Week 1 (June 8th - 12th)

MAD SCIENCE CAMP Every kid loves ice cream!! But do they know how its made? In this year’s Science Camp members will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of science experiments including how to make yummy ice cream and edible DNA models. Learners will question, investigate, and play with different materials and liquids. From lava lamps to crystals and cool reactions scientists will learn the incredible abilities of combining substances. Ages: 8 - 12Hours: 9am - 12pmFee: $115Schedule: Week 7 (July 20th-31st)

PHOTOGRAPHY CAMPPrepare to capture the world around you one frame at a time! This summer learn to tell an incredible story through the lens of a camera. Each day will have a theme based on our National Photography Program to jump start your creativity. Come experience the Nevada scenery from downtown Reno to Virginia City and Lake Tahoe. Learn how to use editing software and enter your polished work into an art show. Camera’s will be provided but if you have your own, you are more than welcome to bring it. JUNIOR GIANTS BASEBALLTake me out to the ballgame! Junior Giants is a FREE, non-competitive and innovative baseball program for boys and girls ages 5-12 years old, with separate teams for T-ball (5-6 year olds), Minors (7-9 year olds), and Majors, 10-13 year olds). Sponsored by the San Francisco Giants Community Fund, each child receives a specialty T-shirt and hat. A glove is also available for those who meet the needs criteria.
