People, on the expiration of the term of fifteenth House of the People;

NOTIFICATION

WHEREAS, the President of India has, by notification issued under sub-section (2) of Section 14 of the

Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) and published in the Gazette of India on the 19th March, 2014

(Wednesday), been pleased to call upon each of the parliamentary constituencies, specified in column (1) of the Schedule

below, in the States or Union Territories mentioned in the Schedule, to elect members to the House of the People, in

accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder;

2. Now, therefore, in pursuance of Sections 30 and 56 of the said Act, the Election Commission of India hereby -

(A) Appoints, with respect to the said election, from each of the parliamentary constituencies specified in the said

Schedule, -

(a) the 26th March, 2014 (Wednesday), as the last date for making nominations;

(b) the 27th March, 2014 (Thursday), as the date for scrutiny of nominations;

(c) the 29th March, 2014 (Saturday), as the last date for withdrawal of candidatures;

(d) the date, specified in column (2) of the SCHEDULE below, as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary,

be taken in the parliamentary constituencies, specified in the corresponding entry in column (1) of the said

Schedule; and

(e) the 28th May, 2014 (Wednesday), as the date before which the election shall be completed in all the

above mentioned parliamentary constituencies; and

(B) Fixes the hours specified in Column (3) of the said Schedule, as the hours during which the poll shall, if

necessary, be taken in the constituencies, specified in the corresponding entry in column (1) of the said

Schedule, on the date specified against such constituency in column (2) thereof, for the above election.

Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945 for the entire State of Karnataka, exercising the powers conferred under Rule 59(1) of

Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 made under the provisions of Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, in a notification No.HFW

60 IMM 2014 dated: 01-03-2014.

Further, the said Licensing Authority is permitted to delegate its licensing powers for the purpose of part VI of

the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules 1945 to any other Officer/Officers under his control as per provisions of Rule 60 of the

Drugs & Cosmetics rules,1945.

DRAFT RULES

1. Title and commencement:- (1) These rules may be called the "Karnataka Motor Vehicles Amendment Rules,

2014".

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Insertion of Rule 46 AA:- After Rule-46A of the KMV Rules 1989 following shall be inserted, namely:-

"46-AA": In case where more than one application is received for the same number on any day under Rule 46 (A)

(1) then the number shall be allotted by auction.

Provided that for numbers like 1, 123, 1234, 10, 11, 111, 1111, 100, 1000, 22, 222, 234, 2222, 2727, 33,

36, 333, 3636, 45, 444, 4444, 4545, 5, 55, 555, 5454, 5555, 63, 666, 6055, 6363, 7, 77, 777, 786, 7777,

8, 88, 888, 8055, 8888, 9, 90, 99, 900, 909, 999, 9000, 9090, 9999 and such other number as may be

notified by commissioner from time to time, the numbers shall be allotted by auctiion after due publicity.

Provided that the fee received through auction shall be amount received through auction or the fee in Rule

46(A)(1) whichever is higher.

The Commissioner may prescribe the method of auction.

The draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Land Revenue Rules, 1966 which the

Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 197 of the Karnataka Land

Revenue Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1964) is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of the said section for the

information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into

2) Insertion to Rule 137:- In Rule 137 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Rules, 1966-

a) Rule 137 (1a) to be inserted as follows:

“Fees at the rate of 50% of the cost of preparation of the original property records subject to a minimum

of Rs. 300/- for any property transaction not requiring registration like succession due to will, in respect

of Urban Property or a sub division of an Urban Property as per Urban Property Ownership Records

(UPOR) Project”.

3) Insertion to Rule 137(2):- In Rule 137 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Rules, 1966

a) In Sub Rule 2 Sub Clause(iv) to be inserted as follows:

“Fee of 1% of the registration fees fixed by the Department of Stamps and Registration Government of

Karnataka per transaction in respect of Urban Property subject to a minimum of twice the first time

user charge for Property Record or a sub division of an Urban Property as per Urban Property

Ownership Records (UPOR) Project”.

Whereas the draft of the Karnataka Prosecutions and Government Litigations (Recruitment) Rules, 2012, which was publised as required by sub-section (1) of section 3 read

with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) in Notification No. HD 621 PPE 2012, dated 15-02-2014 inviting objections or suggestions from

all the persons likely to be affected thereby within fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

And whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 15th February 2014.

And whereas, no objection or suggestion was received by the Government in respect of the said draft within the specified period.

Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990),

the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules namely:-
