F220 Options

Internal Options

Pertronic Industries supply an extensive range of options for the F220 Fire Alarm Control Panel. The number and type of internal options required for a specific project will affect the choice of cabinet size, power supply current rating, and battery capacity.*

Accessories

A full range of accessories is available for the F220, including the range of F220 Mimics and AS 7240 Power Supplies. Please refer to the Pertronic website or contact Pertronic for more information.

The following list outlines the popular internal options:

Two-Loop Driver (F120P2LMB-A) Provides two analogue addressable loops.AA Multi-Function Loop Responder (AALR-MFA) Provides eight conventional detection zone or switch input circuits with one relay configurable as Form C clean contact or supervised 100 Volt Line output.Addressable Loop Relay (AALREL) Provides four outputs, individually configurable as supervised or voltage-free relay contacts. Also provides an input for supervising the fault signal from an external power supply.AA Isolator Board (8SAAIB) Provides eight isolated analogue addressable loop spurs. Allows conventional fire alarm zones to be converted to analogue addressable spurs using the existing cable, when upgrading from a conventional to an intelligent fire alarm control panel.Evacuation Amplifiers Complete with evacuation tone generator and a single supervised 100 Volt Line output for speakers:

• 20 Watt (EVAC20W24V-T3),• 50 Watt (EVAC50W24V-A),• 120 Watt (EVAC120W24V).

(Note that the 120 Watt amplifier requires the evacuation tone generator)Audio Distribution Module (ADM-2, ADM-4) Provides multiple audio channels from a single 100 Volt line. All channels are continuously supervised for line faults. A line fault on any channel does not prevent operation on other channels. An F220 may be fitted with multiple Audio Distribution Modules.

Evacuation Tone Generator (EVACGEN-EA) Provides inputs for local and remote microphones, evacuation tones, standard or custom evacuation messages, and supervision of audio amplifiers.Emergency Warning and Information System (EWIS) Audible voice warning and emergency intercom system.Fan Control Plate A 3U rack-mounted front plate that accepts any combination of control units and AFI displays. Each Fan Control Plate accepts 10 standard units or five AFI displays.

AS1668 Fan Control Unit Occupies one space on the Fan Control Plate.AFI Display Alarm, fault, and isolate indicators for 8 zones. Occupies two spaces on the Fan Control Plate.

* The fire alarm panel’s maximum total current consumption, including any auxiliary power outputs, must not exceed the power supply’s load capacity. Most optional components draw their maximum current when the system is in Alarm mode. The Pertronic website (www.pertronic.com.au) provides a calculator for computing supply current and battery capacity.

Configuring the F220 with FireUtils®

Pertronic FireUtils® is a computer application that makes it easy to configure a Pertronic F220 system. For a stand-alone panel, FireUtils® uploads the configuration file to a USB stick, or direct to the panel via RS-232.

For a network, FireUtils® uploads all configuration files for panels, NCUs, displays, and network cards via Ethernet to any individual Net2 Card on the system. From there, the configuration files are automatically transferred to their destination devices.

FireUtils® provides diagnostic, debugging, and event log management tools, and runs on Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10. For more information, refer to the FireUtils® datasheet.

Networking the Pertronic F220

The Pertronic Net 2 Network connects multiple F220 fire alarm control panels, Net 2 Network Control Units and Net 2 displays into a single fault-tolerant system, in which:

» All connected panels can be controlled and monitored from any Net 2 Network Control Unit

» Information from any connected panel can be viewed on any Net 2 Network Control Unit or Net 2 display

» Events anywhere on the network can trigger or influence events at any connected panel

» System time in all connected panels, control units and mimic displays is automatically synchronised

Please refer to Pertronic Net 2 Network System datasheet for more information about the Net 2 Network System.

FireMap™

Pertronic FireMap™ is an economical fire system management tool that adds advanced features to any fire system. A FireMap system remotely monitors one or more fire indicating panels via Ethernet connections. Whenever a monitored fire indicating panel originates an alarm:

» FireMap sounds an audible warning and automatically displays a map of the zone that triggered the alarm, with the active zone outlined in red,

» FireMap’s status window displays the word “Alarm” and details of the location,

» Fire panels with active alarms are highlighted in red on the FireMap display.

» In Pertronic F220 systems, FireMap’s smart icons map the active detectors in red.

FireMap’s information storage and retrieval capabilities provide quick and easy access to additional information, including contact information for key personnel, response procedures, and photographs. In Pertronic F220 systems, authorised FireMap users are able to acknowledge alarms, reset devices from alarm mode, and disable or enable devices or zones directly from any FireMap workstation.
