2/ Từ định lượng bất định: a few, few, a little, little

a/ A few (vài), few ( ít ): dùng với danh từ đếm được số nhiều.

b/ A little (một ít), little ( ít ): dùng với danh từ không đếm được

* Few và Little có thể dược bổ nghĩa bởi very.

- He feels lonely because has very few friends.

* A few và a little có thể được bổ nghĩa bởi just hay only (chỉ).

- There are only a few bananas left in the fridge.

- The teacher gives him just a little homework.

* Quite a few = many: nhiều

- The boy eats quite a few sweets.

*A few và A little bao hàm nghĩa xác định. Trái lại Few và Little bao hàm nghĩ phủ định.

3/ Cách sử dụng khác của “ Must ”

Must là động từ khiếm khuyết. Ngoài nghĩa "phải" (chỉ sự bắt buộc hay cần thiết) thì must ở bài này chỉ sự suy luận hay lời kết luận và có nghĩa "chắc hẳn".

- It must be something you ate.

Chắc hẳn đó là món gì em đã ăn.

- There isn't his bike here. He must be at the office.

Không có xe đạp anh ấy ở đây. Chắc hẳn anh ấy ở văn phòng.
