The Academic Calendar provides for minimum 15 to 17 weeks for all the Programmes. In case of Early Joining 12 – 

14 weeks have been provided since in these cases the credit load of the courses is less in both the semesters.

*Early joining option is for the final year programmes only, where placement companies ask the students to join early

and also where the students proceed for their Final Project/Dissertation.

• In order to permit the student to join their placement/ Final Project/ Dissertation, the Institution must finish the

semester on fast track meeting the academic requirements.

• If any Institution opts for early joining, prior approval of the University HQ must be obtained as per regulations before the commencement of the Academic Session.

The classes should be so planned that considering all the activities, holidays, events, etc., syllabus is covered within

the given time limits. In case the syllabus is not covered as planned, extra classes should be conducted in during the

week or on Saturdays.

Preparatory holidays will be admissible only if syllabus is covered within the time limits. Block dates for 

commencement of semesters and examination block dates will not be changed under any circumstances except with

the approval of Vice Chancellor through Pro Vice Chancellor (A).

The Concluding Ceremony for final year batch will be conduct on last day of final exams, only when all academic

requirements including Practicals, Viva Voce of Project/ Dissertation etc. are completed. 

** A single Amity Annual Youth Festival will be organised in which the respective institutions will conduct the

Technical sessions individually but the Cultural events will be clubbed together 

Registration/Re-registration of students should be completed on the First day of the Semester

Viva for the Value Added Courses will be scheduled by the CoE before the commencement of the End semester 

Examination.
