This is to confirm that Fabio Slesio has successfully participated in theEuropean Voluntary Service programme for six rnonths, from April - October2010.
European Voluntary Service (EVS) was initiated by the European Commissionfor 18-30 year olds from any EU country wishing to work on community-basedprojects in another EU country for up to 12 months.
With support from ICP Partneriaeth, Fabio was placed as a volunteer with theCardiff and yale NHS Trust. He was based at Whitchurch Hospital in Cardiff,working in a department providing psychiatric services to elderly clients. Heworked with a team of medical and nursing staff helping to provide qualitysupport to people with psychiatric problems.
Fabio‘s work was of a high standard and he maintained a good workingrelationship with staff, clients and other volunteers. We wish hirn everysuccess in his future plans.

European Voluntary Service offers young people the possibility of taking part in a non-profit makingunpaid activity for the benefit of the general public in a country other than their country ofresidence.
European Voluntary Service is carried out in partnership between a young volunteer, anorganisation in the country of residence and an organisation in the host country. lt lasts up to 12months.
European Voluntary Service is an Action in the framework of the EU YOUTH programme. The aim isto develop solidarity, promote active citizenship and mutual understanding of young people.
Essential elements of [uropean Voluntary Service are preparation and follow-up activities in thecountry of residence as weil as ongoing pedagogical, personal and task-related support in the hostcountry. Thanks to EVS young people do not only contribute to social cohesion and solidarity, butcons derably enhance their personal, professional and intercultural skills and competences.

The European Commission aims to ensure that European Voluntary Service is recognised by meansof an EVS Certificate and the present Achievement Report as an experience of non-tormal andinformal learning.
Each volunteer 5 entitled to receive the EVS Certificate and the Achievement Report.
The Achievement Report is completed and signed by the volunteer and a host organisationrepresentative at the end of the European Voluntary Service. This document describes andevaluates the volunteer‘s activities and the learning experiences.
European Voluntary Service, under the EU YOUTH programme, is quality checked regarding criteriacontent and implementation.
The content of the Achievement Report is based on the recommended Key Competences of theEuropean Commission which gives guidelines for life long learning experiences in Europe.The terms and the language used in this document are based on the common European KeyCompetences Framework, which is part of the European Qualifications Framework.
