1 1/8 yards large floral print, 120-11551

• 2 strips 9 ½" x WOF; cut (6) 9 ½" squares from strips

• 5 strips 3" x WOF for outer border. 1/2 yard small floral print, 120-11571 • 2 strips 5 1/2" x WOF; cut into (12) 5 ½" squares 1/4 yard yellow print, 120-11604 • 2 strips 2 1/2" x WOF; cut into (12) 2 ½" x 5 ½" rectangles. 1/3 yard blue print, 120-11602 • 3 strips 2 1/2" x WOF; cut into (12) 2 ½" x 7 ½" rectangles. 1/3 yard pink print, 120-11572 • 3 strips 2 1/2" x WOF; cut into (12) 2 ½" x 7 ½" rectangles.

1/3 yard peach print, 120-11573 • 3 strips 2 1/2" x WOF; cut into (12) 2 ½" x 9 ½" rectangles. 1 yard lime print, 120-11603 • 5 strips 2" x WOF for inner border • 6 strips 2 1/4" x WOF for binding 3/4 yard multicolor frond print, 120-11591 • 1 strip 14" x WOF; cut into (3) 14" squares, cut in

half corner to corner twice for setting triangles • 1 strip 7 1/4" x WOF; cut into (2) 7 1/4" squares,

cut in half corner to corner. 3 1/8 yards backing of choice • 2 pieces 54" x WOF

Piecing the Blocks Note: Use a 1/4" seam allowance for all stitching. Press seams as directed.

1. Sew a 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" yellow strip to a 5 1/2" small floral print square. Press seam toward the yellow strip.

Repeat to make 12 units total.

2. Sew a 2 1/2" x 7 1/2" pink strip to a yellow/floral unit (Step 1). Press seam toward the pink strip. Repeat to make 12 units total.

3. Sew a 2 1/2" x 7 1/2" blue strip to a pink/yellow/floral unit (Step 2). Press seam toward the blue strip. Repeat to make 12 units total.

4. Sew a 2 1/2" x 9 1/2" peach strip to a blue/pink/yellow/floral unit (Step 3). Press seam toward the peach strip. Repeat to make 12 blocks.

Completing the Quilt Note: Refer to the exploded quilt diagram as needed throughout the following steps.

1. Using the exploded quilt diagram as a guide, lay out the pieced blocks, the 9 1/2" large floral print blocks, and

the setting and corner triangles in diagonal rows. Note the orientation of the print for the setting and corner triangles, as well as the placement of the pieced blocks. Set aside 2 setting triangles for another use.

2. Stitch the rows together to complete the quilt center. Press seams to 1 side.

3. Sew the 2" x WOF lime print strips short ends together to make a long strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into (2) 51 1/2" strips and (2) 41 3/4" strips. Stitch the longer strips to the long sides of the quilt center and the shorter strips to the top and bottom. Press seams toward the strips.

4. Sew the 3" x WOF large floral print strips short ends together to make a long strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into (2) 54 1/2" strips and (2) 46 3/4" strips. Stitch the longer strips to the long sides of the quilt center and the shorter strips to the top and bottom. Press seams toward the.

5. Remove the selvage edges from the 54" backing pieces. Join the pieces on the long edges with a 1/2" seam allowance. Press seam open. Trim the side edges to make a 54" x 67" backing piece.

6. Layer, quilt, and bind using your favorite methods and the lime print binding strips to complete the quilt.
