‘’First, we now allow the promotion of offline casinos or other legal gambling establishments provided the ads are appropriately targeted.
We continue to prohibit the promotion of online gambling in the U.S, but may allow ads for online gambling and games of skill in other countries with our prior authorization.
We also now allow authorized state and national lottery commissions to advertise to users of the appropriate age within the lottery's jurisdiction. In all cases, we expect advertisers to ensure their ads comply with all applicable laws and we will not accept ads for illegal products and services.’’

Gambling ads may only be purchased through a direct sales partnership with Facebook, which requires a monthly minimum spend of $30,000, and may not be purchased through the self-serve ads tool or the Facebook Ads API.

‘’Secondly, we have clarified our guidelines around pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements. We continue to prohibit ads promoting the sale or distribution of prescription pharmaceuticals and online pharmacies, but we will allow the promotion of legal dietary supplements that don't contain certain prohibited ingredients.
As with all other Facebook ads, those promoting these products will still be subject to rules regarding ad creative, positioning, claims, etc.’’

‘’Ads that promote dietary and herbal supplements are generally permitted, provided they do not promote products containing:
• Anabolic steroids• Chitosan• Comfrey• Dehydroepiandrosterne• Ephedra• Human growth hormones• Melatonin• Any additional products deemed unsafe or questionable by Facebook in its sole discretion.’’
