Method:
1. Pick 3 girls and 3 boys who do not have Facebook and ask them their marks for their latest English, Maths, Science and SOSE CAT (common assessment task) mark to the nearest percent.
2. Pick 3 girls and 3 boys who have 1-100, 101-200, 201-300 etc until you reach the category 700+ and ask them for their latest English, Maths, Science and SOSE CAT (common assessment task) mark to the nearest percent.
3. Calculate averages for each category and subject to the nearest percentage.
4. Analyse the data and create graphs based on the above information collected.

Conclusion: Our original hypothesis was that ”As the number of Facebook friends you have increases, your academic performance decreases in quality.” We have in a way
approved this hypothesis but in another way disproved it. While it seems that theNo Facebook group has better marks and the 700+ Facebook friends group has
lower marks, we can see from the previous given analyses and examples that there is no direct downward trend in the marks decreasing as the number ofFacebook friends you have increase.
Evaluation: Because students we surveyed from our school was academically gifted (we go to
a selective academic school), there would obviously be a high standard of gradesand therefore higher marks. This proved a less diverse population to survey.
