Lithuanians Account For 58% Of Baltic Facebook Population

Estonians account for 24% and Latvians for 18%. However, 28% of Estonians have an account, against 27% of Lithuanians. In Latvia, only 12% has an account.

As everywhere else around the world, the majority of Facebook users are female in the Baltic states.

Social Networking Only Surpassed By Search (Read: Google)

Interestingly, Facebook has gone up one place in traffic ranking in Latvia, and is now the 7th most visited site there. The Top 3 in both Estonia and Lithuania is unchanged.

- Usage was measured on 05 April 2011- Population data are mid-year estimates of the World Bank for 2008- Facebook only registers users that are 13 years of age or older- In Latvia, Draugiem.lv is the main social network- Data on gender and age depends on users giving this information
