Pier 2620, a member of the Preferred Hotel Group, is located in San Francisco. While the hotel is located in the Fisherman’s Wharf tourist area, it seeks to keep its business travelers coming back. The property, known for its spacious floor plans, underwent a 2014 renovation to open and modernize the common areas of the hotel. The new fitness facility reflects the design strategy –an open workout space located in a central atrium filled with natural light.
The Challenge
The property was converted from a Hilton brand flag so management had previous experience with Precor.

Management knew that the fitness amenity was a powerful draw for the Hilton business travelers and created a reason for them to return. One key property directive was to provide guests with a comprehensive and unique fitness experience. Management wanted to provide a way for guests to continue their fitness routines—even on the road.
The Solution
Precor Commercial Fitness (PCF) worked with design architects to maximize the number of fitness activities per dollar spent on the renovation. PCF utilized their experience and detailed knowledge to provide the range of equipment that satisfied the property’s ambitious goals

In addition to Precor cardio and strength options, the fitness facility features spinning bikes, a ballet bar, and functional training accessories including a TRX® Suspension system. Precor Commercial Fitness also delivered much-needed responsiveness during the design phase to keep costs low.
