More than half of South Africa’s coworking spaces are
based in Cape Town !
3. Why is Coworking going to rise in Africa ?
This was Europe… in 2010…
Look where we are 5 years later…!
La Can\ne Paris started in 200 sqm in the early 2010
Move to an 2.400 sqm building and became NUMA
8.000 people registered the day of the inaugura\on
Like anywhere else before, many coworking spaces in Africa starts small, fueled by the energy
and passion of a few !
Some die, others grow their community and space
And an industry arises
Entrepreneurship level in South Africa is at the OECD average
But there is a lot of room for improvement everywhere in Africa !
Demography rising, infrastructure lacking, digital entrepreneurship increasing…:
many drivers are pushing coworking up in Africa
Thank you !
