ABOUT FACULTY OF COMMERCE AND BUSINESS STUDIESFaculty of Commerce and Business Studies offers cutting-edge programmes in Commerce and Business studies which are in great demand in the market. Currently, the Faculty consists of two departments, namely, Department of Commerce and Department of Business Studies. The Department of Business Studies offers six specialized undergraduate programmes, namely, BBA (General), BBA (Banking and Financial Markets), BBA (Global) International Business, BBA (Risk & Insurance), and BBA (Retail Management). Department of Commerce offers B.Com.(Hons) and M.Com programme.

Dr. Monika Goel, Director, Faculty of Commerce & Business Studies, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies has a vast experience as an academician, indirect taxes consultant & corporate trainer.

An ardent researcher in the areas of finance and taxation, she has recently submitted her post doctoral research work on “Impact of Micro Finance on sustainable Lively Hood Development” in the slum areas of Delhi to ICSSR, New Delhi. She has successfully handled GST litigation in many cases. She has delivered lectures at various conferences organized by Industry Chambers & Institutions. She is an eloquent speaker and her style of handling legal matters has been widely appreciated.

She has authored various papers which have been published in National & International Journals. She was awarded “The Best Educationist Award” for talented Personalities in 2018.

partnered with MRIIRS to provide

curriculum and accreditation support

for BBA-(Global) International

Business. The students undergo a

4-week study abroad at AIS

Auckland, New Zealand as a part of

their programme.

• UoNC Australia shall be providing

academic support in terms of course

details and delivery during the first

year of this programme at MRIIRS

through the faculty members of

UoNC Australia. Provision of

completing 2nd and 3rd year at

UoNC Australia.

• Provision to study in Nottingham

Trent University (NTU), UK in 2nd

year directly with transfer of credits

of all courses/subjects studied at

MRIIRS and complete the rest of their

programme at NTU with award of

their degree of Bachelors of Business.

• BBA (Retail Management) prepare students to succeed in their profession, to enhance learning through practical exposure.

• Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) is the flagship programme of the Department of Commerce which aims at holistic professional development of the students for their successful career.

PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS• Industry exposure, case studies, role

plays and other essential business activities are a part of the curriculum. Students are given rich training in soft skills and setting up their own start-ups. They also learn several foreign languages which are in great demand.

• Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) help the students learn a few courses at their own pace and convenience.

• Special Enrichment Lecture Series Programme (ELSP) with a view to expose students to the current issues and areas of inter-disciplinary interest to broaden their mental horizon, improve general awareness and strengthen critical thinking.

• Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies have adopted the four-semester “Entrepreneurship” programme where the focus is to inculcate entrepreneurial mindset among students right at the onset of their academic careers.

• Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Institute delivers short-term courses in area of Stock Market, Financial Services and Insurance to the students with certification.
